QUIZ RECAP

The New Year brought lots of new faces to Brouwerij West this week. Some teams were looking for glory and trying to earn some prize money, others were just looking for a break from the hectic holiday season. Either way, trivia served as both the perfect release and challenge as we asked a bunch of questions to review 2019 and all of its ups and downs.

A few teams got to really start the new year out right with a trivia victory. Right out of the gate Mustache, Beard, and 2 Blondes snagged the lead, but then they were faced with the difficult challenge of keeping that lead. The high point for the team was a successful double or nothing in round 2, but then in round 3 they failed a double or nothing. Somehow they were still able to keep that lead all night and they won the game. In second place was 2 Shakes, and in third was GOAT. GOAT started the game slow and built their way up to 3rd place through long and diligent effort in each and every round.

It was a very merry evening for trivia at Brouwerij West!

Counter Intelligence snagged the first place finish with a lead of over 10 points. The race for second and third place was much closer - Turd Ferguson was a single point ahead of third place winners Hey You, Beer Me. One point behind them was two teams tied for fourth, Rib Crackers and Uncomfortably Dumb.

QUIZ RECAP

'Twas a great night filled with loyal King Trivia patrons as EVERY TEAM was registered except for one! (Team Todd, sign up now for next week!) Competition was tough and the ugly holiday sweaters boasted by Pacific Coast Dog nearly blinded the competition - but the questions proved to be no match for our brainy bunch last evening.

Successful doubles were had around the house in Round 3 and Round 7, but Round 5 proved difficult and led to numerous unsuccessful doubles - the road signs were tricky!

All in all, points were close for many teams throughout the night - but Hey You, Beer Me took off with a strong lead using two successful doubles back-to-back in Round 1 and Round 2. They maintained their lead all game long and took home first. Second place went to The Bar, who floundered in Round 4 but came back STRONG with a doubled Round 7 to take the second spot. Third went to Uncomfortably Dumb, who proved themselves not dumb at all. An honorable mention goes to Mild Stallions, who trailed in fourth place by a lone point.
