QUIZ RECAP

A warm reception back to my beloved Brouwerij West after last week's absence was exactly the medicine this poor raspy Quizmaster needed! That, along with the honey and tea I slammed all night, kept my throat from completely fleeing my body during our game. And what a game it was!

In the end, it was The Test Tickles who hiked their way all the way up to 79 points to grab first! With doubles in Rounds 1, 2, and 5 and near-perfect scores in the last couple rounds, they firmly secured their place in the top spot. They were followed by The Brewsual Suspects in second at 68 points! Their only scoring difference from the first-place team was one answer in Round 2 -- and of course, a lack of that two-point bonus from a registered team number. In third came 900 Dollarydoo$ with 64 points, who rocked back and forth in the early rounds with a successful double in Round 2 and an unsuccessful attempt in Round 3. A well-placed Round 5 double brought them back up into range to grab third place. Well done, all teams!

A reminder, though, that if a member of your team is holding a device that could be used as an outside source, your team will not be able to score points for that round -- or, as we saw last night, a tiebreaker. Keep those phones in pockets, just to be safe!

QUIZ RECAP

The Lead changed and the lead changed. Cool Princess 500 finally ended up with first place after a couple successful doubles rocketed them to the first place finish. Rainbows and Air Vehicles and the Test Tickles battled it out for the tie. Rainbows and Air Vehicles knew their Arnold Schwarzenegger trivia just a little bit better. They walked away with second. Thanks to the good folks at Brouwerij West for all their delicious brews. It was a night of trivia and fun!

Back-to-school time may have stolen a few of our teams from us, but if this week was any indication, that makes the game even closer! So many teams kept within a few points of each other that it was a real nail-biter.

In the end, it was 900 Dollarydoo$ who grabbed that top gift card this week with 81 points! They were among the pack who successfully doubled in Rounds 2 and 5 and got our Guess Where? round on the first clue. Next up was That's A Tasty Burger with 75 points, Who came back from an incorrect Guess Where? guess by scoring doubles in Rounds 5 and 7 -- the only successful Round 7 attempt. Third went to Here for the Beer at 71 points, holding steady with two early doubles and high scores the rest of the game. Well done, all teams!
