Another big, bold night of trivia at Brouwerij West! Plenty of new faces and new team names, lots of brave 10-point guesses and double attempts, and, as usual, a very close finish. But out of twenty dang teams, only three could go home with the prizes!

In the end, it was Wannabe Vegans who snagged that first prize again this week with 70 points! Their three doubles in Rounds 3, 5, and 6 were matched point-for-point by That's A Tasty Burger, who grabbed second with a very close 69 points! In third came The Wet Bandits, whose strong showing included the only successful Round 7 double. Well done, all teams!

Shout out to the lovely Emily Fine who dropped by last night to hang and observe as part of her training as a new Quizmaster. I can only hope she finds a spot she gets a kick out of hosting as much as I do with the trivians here at BW.

Despite a rocky start and a hot-as-blazes room, the trivians at Brouwerij West always know how to make a Wednesday night a good time! This absent-minded Quizmaster forgot to bring the box of booklets and pens for this week's game, but with some spare paper and pens from the bar, some shifting of rounds, and a rescue mission from a fellow Quizmaster, we made it work! The spirit of this crowd cannot be quelled. No matter how sweaty we were by the end of the night.

In the end, it was The Test Tickles who went home with the top gift card at 77 points! Their doubles in Rounds 2, 5, and 6 rocketed them past the competition. Next up was Hella Vella with 69 points, who were scoring in lockstep with Mamas and Papas all the way up until Round 6, when their successful double put them in reach of second place. Third went to Cool Princess 500 with 68 points, doubling in three rounds just like the other top scorers. Well done, all teams!

Shout out to Test Tickles, big time: Up until Round 7, they scored a perfect game. Every single answer correct. They came up afterward to double-check. Kudos and good week, team!

Bold moves, a big group of teams, new faces, and familiar regulars -- another wonderful Wednesday at Brouwerij West! It was a tough game, judging both by the scores and the expressions of the teams. Case in point: not a single team figure out the Round 5 connection. Like I said, a tough game!

In the end, Wannabe Vegans went home with the top prize with a whopping 68 points! Their Round 6 successful double launched them above the competition. Next up was The Bar with 55 total points, but as the bar can't win a prize, the gift card went to Here For The Beer with 53 points! They too made up ground with a Round 6 double. Third prize went to That's A Tasty Burger! with 52 points, with an unsuccessful Round 7 double attempt made up for by high scores throughout the rest of the game. Well done, all teams!

Shout out to my dad, who snapped pictures of me and wrote funny answers on his sheets all night. Here's looking at you, pops. I can't believe you didn't get that Contact question.
