Another intimate show in the Night Room at The Canterbury Ale House this week!
We had three teams and three prizes so the math worked in favor for those playing!
There were some tough questions this week which caused some rough patches for each team- The Picture Round in particular proved damaging to each team's final score, but there were some bright spots too! Honey Smacks and Mojo were tied for the first couple rounds, in a fair imitation of last week, but Honey Smacks managed to pull away with a correct guess on the 8-Point Clue for the Guess Who Round. Another couple of solid rounds put them squarely on the path for a First Place Prize!
From there it was a close battle between Mojo and the one-man power from down under Hate to See You Go But Love To See You Leave. But it was the two missed Double or Nothing from H.T.S.Y.G.B.L.T.S.Y.L. (you know, for short) that gave Mojo the momentum to slide safely into Second Place, and leaving the team with the the longest name and fewest players solidly in Third Place.

It was an intimate show at The Canterbury Ale House this week in a part of the venue dubbed "The Night Room." We had three teams, a Quiz Master, and very dim lighting. And an electric fire place. We mustn't forget the electric fire place.
But it wasn't the faux fire providing the heat so much as the competition between Honey Smacks and Kikkoman When He's Down- After a one point difference in Round 1, they were tied EVERY. SINGLE. ROUND.
Fun Team put up a good fight though, especially during Round 6 where they hit the Double or Nothing and lead the pack by 1 point. But at the end of Round 7 a tie-breaker determined the difference between First and Second Place.
It was Kikkoman When He's Down who came closest to the grams of sugar in a can of Pepsi (missing it by just 2!) and earned themselves the top prize for the evening, leaving Second Place to Honey Smacks and a very respectable Third Place for Fun Team!

It was a great day for a Quiz at a BRAND NEW VENUE!
We kicked off the inaugural King Trivia quiz at The Canterbury Ale House this week and it did not disappoint.
Is it Wednesday started strong with high scores in Rounds 1 & 2, but it was Gays of Thrones that took an early lead with a Round 3 Double or Nothing.
It was neck and neck, but both teams commiserated with each other in taking the negative point hit in Round 4 and found common ground in thinking that "mush" and "Osculation" were a bit a stretch for the Find the Connection in Round 5. (hooray for friendship)
In the end Is it Wednesday did what took to over take Gays of Thrones in Round 7 and win 1st Place by ONE POINT!
BUT... since there were only two teams competing, EVERYONE WINS A PRIZE!!! (Not just because it was Taco Tuesday)
