Double or nothing bonanza! Team after team worked hard for this to to capture a double or nothing. Team Plant Parenthood could've gone double or nothing in the second round but decided against it but it turned to be a fatal mistake as they were never able to catch up and missed a double or nothing in a later round.
Every team attempted a double or nothing at some point with the most heartbreak coming for Stormblessed as they missed multiple by only one question!
Team We Thought This Was Speed Dating started out low in the ranks but was able to use their own double or nothings to capture second place while Definitely Not the Ones with Babies in the Bar almost caught up to them in the end but they both scored a double or nothing to close it out and they couldn't catch up.
Emotional Support Snakes held onto a one point lead for a couple of rounds in this one until they were able to hit a couple of double or nothings of their own to take a commanding lead that they never relinquised. Smart play at the end sealed the win as they decided to NOT do double or nothing for the final round which would've netted them 0 points. Had they done it and lost the match. Luckily, cooler heads prevailed on the team and they took the top prize!
We'll have to see what next week has in store and whether double or nothing will play a big part again!

What a game! We had 4 teams brave the weather for a chance to win some prizes in trivia tonight! Even with just a few teams, the intrigue was high!
Things started out great for the Swaggle Gaggle as they took an early lead in round 1 but found themselves in a fight with Third Place for first place after round 2.
The Aberdeen Swim and Dive 2012 team stayed close for a while with the leaders but lost ground when they were the last to answer the Clue Round. Unfortunately their swim talents did not equal their swim knowledge as they didn't identify Katie Ledecky until the last clue.
Team Doc Martin was able to grab a nice lead with a double or nothing score in round 3 and held onto it until the last round when a terrible mistake cost them the game. Doc Martin played a great game but when naming states with less than a million population, instead of writing Alaska, they put down Anchorage and because they did double or nothing, they ended up getting zero points which allowed Third Place to take first place!
It was a game filled with drama and upheavles. Hopefully team Doc Martin can recover from their unfortunate mistake next week to grab first place. And Third Place is planning on changing their name to First Place next week but will that jinx the surprise winning team? We shall see (muahahahahahahahah)!

It was a packed night for trivia as 11 teams competed to take home the top two prizes! Yellow Squibble started out with an early lead on a double or nothing win in the first round but were quickly unseated by Phish!
Phish held onto the lead for a couple of rounds but The Evil Tampire ended up getting in first and never relinquished their power (muahahahahahah)!
The Goofy Goobers ended with a moral victory as they were in last place for the first couple of rounds but ended up with a respectable 5th place finish. That just goes to show you why you should never give up in the game of trivia!
We'll see how next week unfolds! Will the Cunning Stunts trip up the host and make him say a bad word? Will Gaesop's Foibles come back with a vengance after missing on two double or nothings? Or will the Major League Yams go back to their orignial name, Fancy Brien?
The only way to find out answers to these questions is to come to trivia to try and overthrow The Evil Tampire!
