The Pub at Golden Road is a full-service, family-friendly environment located just a stone’s throw from Griffith Park in Atwater Village. Open 7 days a week, The Pub offers ample indoor and outdoor seating, over a dozen Golden Road beers on tap, and games for the young (and young at heart).
A well-earned win by Trashley Wards this week at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale (see photo #1 above to get a look at these triumphant brainiacs). This stalwart and intrepid group of quizinators racked up 84 big points to take the top spot on the scoreboard.
Additionally, in an example of the competitive excellence on display week after week at this most excellent venue, the next five teams posted scores that looked like stairsteps. Gym Class Zeros and Stung on the Double took 2nd and 3rd places, respectively, with scores of 78 and 77.
Hot on their heels were Garbagetown (76), Gingko 1997 (75) and Ruth Bader Winsberg (72) Sheesh! That's some tight competitive quizzing right there! Well done, everyone!
On a separate note, as we've mentioned in the past, we do love us a timely team name. And we had a prime example of the TTN (timely team name) phenomenon last night, when longtime regulars Catbus renamed themselves "Giantsmilk." We LOVE that!!

What a night! WHAT A NIGHT! What a windy, windy night!!
Yes, indeed. It got a little breezy out on the side yard patio this week at Golden Road Brewing Company in Glendale! No fewer than 26 big teams filled the patio with a pulsating panorama of prepossessing players eager to engage in our weekly test of their trivia acumen. And were they gonna let a little wind spoil their fun!?
NOOOOOOOO!!
Dunder Mifflin Backup Team filled their sails and rode the breeze to the top of the score sheet with a strong 65 points, followed by Garbagetown who finished in second with an anything-but-trashy total of 62. And the formidable family team calling themselves Ginko 1997 rounded out our top three with 61 big points!
Even without the wind, the Golden Road patio rocks every Tuesday night with the power of trivia fun. You should join us, and put yourself to the test. Oh yes, you really should!
