Well, well, well 'twas my first night as the new host at Gramercy Santa Monica and what a bobbydazzler those folks treated me too. It wasn't clear who was going to survive the night, but ultimately three teams made it to the end and all that was left was deciding who won and who won, but less. It was the charmers with the delightful name of 2ND and 4TH MONDAYS @ 10 AT THE WESTSIDE COMEDY THEATER who were triumphant over SKID GIB and GRANDPA JACK'S PLACE took 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

This Wednesday was an intimate trivia affair at the Gramercy, three teams showed up, three prizes were up for grabs, everyone went home happy and hopefully a little bit smarter!

Always Late was worth the wait, assembling a fun team who started strong, but stumbled at the Guess Who round and a final round double-or-nothing was all for naught when their list included non-dissolved Avengers. They ended up in third place and won a round of shots.

The Final Kendown, using an alias describing an apprentice job that cannot be repeated in polite company, led rounds 1-6 but simply could not finish it off, which, considering their team name, explains why they have remained at apprentice status. They ended up in second place and won a $15 gift certificate.

Newcomers A Nice Cold Glass of Giants Milk chased The Final Kendown for the entire match and knew their powdered Avengers cold. A double or nothing propelled them into first place and a $30 gift certificate.

It's spring time! Everything is new! This even includes King Trivia at Gramercy this Wednesday: first time for the quiz master, first time for all four teams, with two gift certificates worth a total of $45 on the line, everyone was in with a chance.

The lead changed hands four times between the top three teams during the seven round battle. However, the double-or-nothing was never used until the final round, when three of the four teams tested their country music mettle and only Dance Dance Revolution came out unscathed with the full 20 points and the $30 gift certificate, while the other two were only one singer away and scored bupkis. Over The Pants knew their limitations and did not go for the double-or-nothing, and ended up in second place and scored a $15 gift certificate.
