QUIZ RECAP

Twas a fun night of King Trivia at Hey 19 Public House. Had 4 teams competing hard and having a fun time. Don't Suck was with us and as always, lived up to their name. One of our regulars who like to pick a new name every week, Rendevous Rocktober, hung tough for 6 rounds and gave it a good run. Another of our regulars who like to change their name was Doctors Without Licenses was also hanging in there for 6 rounds. They had the perfect chance to jump into 2nd place in Round 6 but did not double. Matching bands to their songs and of course they got them all right. A missed opportunity for sure.

Had a team of 3 walk in at the beginning of Rd. 5 (Da Zapodzies)and they wanted to join in. They wound up coming in 4th after playing only 3 rounds so I hope they come back next week, they were impressive for sure.

In the end Don't Suck flexed their muscle with an impressive correct double in Rd. 7 and took home the $50 gift card. Rendevous Rocktober was 2nd and Doctors Without Licenses took 3rd.

QUIZ RECAP

It was a very tight race at Hey 19 Public House and all teams were neck and neck for the whole game. The night saw only one double by No New Pants as they were trying to catch up. They missed 2 however and dropped them into 4th place.

Los Lobos was strong throughout but Almost Good Enough was on their heels the whole game. It turned out they tied at the end and had to go to the tie breaker. In the end Los Lobos eked out 1st and the $50 gift card by 1 point and Almost Good Enough lived up to their name by taking 2nd and the $25 gift card. The Benchwarmers took 3rd and were very happy with their $10 gift card

QUIZ RECAP

Well Don't Suck was out to prove that, well, they Don't Suck and they made their point. Played the first two rounds strong and then laid the hammer down in Round 3 and doubled successfully. A new team called Breakfast Club gave then a great run for their money and hung tough right till the end. If they had doubled in Round 3 it would have put them only 2 points behind but alas they chose not to. In round 6 which I thought was a tough one to double on, saw them both double and nail it! Made for an interesting finish but Don't Suck held on. Two of our regulars Bourbon Surgeon and Kicking Assets had to go to the tie breaking question for 3rd place and Bourbon Surgeon took it. Kicking Assets has not placed since I have been Quizmastering here and I was really pulling for them!

A fun night and fun venue.
