QUIZ RECAP

Hello everyone and welcome to another week of KING TRIVIA at HQ. This evening, we had four teams playing trivia. Behind the bar, we had Joe, previously of Not the Door Guy fame, mixing it up and providing everyone with their innermost desired beverages.

A quick shout out to all teams on their performance on the Picture round (round 2), which was 2000-2021 Best Picture winners. In this round, we had Omicron Prime score a perfect round and wisely double or nothing. From here on, they had a fantastic performance which led to a trivia night victory! Good job Omicron Prime.

Following in second place was kAmOnErTiTs, whom had a solid night overall, getting a perfect score on the aforementioned picture round. They also got 7 of the 9 Find-The-Connection questions correctly, but were unable to find the link between the answers. Following in third place was Not the Door Bartender, who rocked this trivia night solo in his new domain.... behind the bar. I think that's worth some bonus points for sure. Coming in 4th was Just Me, who as the name would suggest, also played solo this evening! While they came in fourth this evening, this quizmaster feels that their incorrect answers were the best among all teams. Appreciate the good humor and thanks for playing!

That is all for trivia this evening at HQ! Thank you all for coming out to play trivia. As a reminder, trivia will be starting at 6:30 pm for the rest of the month due to the Delirium performance at 5pm downstairs. If you feel so inclined, feel free to catch the show and then come up for trivia! A few trivia players over the past two weeks have attended the performance before King Trivia and have had great things to say!

QUIZ RECAP

What a night of King Trivia at HQ! Tonight we had 6 teams joining us for a wild evening of trivia, ranging from theme rounds of "Ringers," "Bus(t) a Move," and "Gulp!", which was trivia based on matching drinks to the company that sells it. Speaking of beverages, Becca was behind the bar, killing it per usual.

In first place we had Michael Mann's MIAMI VICE (a solid follow up from Michael Mann's HEAT). MMMV had a solid performance all night, but what really set them apart was a perfect double-or-nothing theme round.

In a battle for second place, Not the Door Guy, Ed., and Chili Farts, were neck and neck all evening. At the conclusion of round 7... we had a tie. With a Garbage Pail Kids themed Tiebreaker question that only this former Topps-employee, current King Trivia Quizmaster could appreciate, Not the Door Guy came out on top! Coming in third was Ed., followed by Chili Farts (who had the best answers of the night - keep up that energy!)

Rounding out the night, a respectable performance by Drinkers with a Trivia Problem (who might have earned a higher score if you ask this quizmaster when you factor in a handicap for multi-tasking while triviaing... this teacher was grading paper's while playing! Teachers are the best) and MB, who really started to round into form at the end of the evening! If we had 2 more rounds, there was no telling how well they could have done!

That was King Trivia for this evening. Hoping everyone had a pleasant Thanksgiving, or just enjoyed some time off. Looking forward to another night of trivia (and fun) next Sunday at HQ!

QUIZ RECAP

Hello all and welcome back to King Trivia at HQ! Tonight we had a few returning teams and some new teams join us for the second-ever night at HQ. Becca was behind the bar serving up all the fantastic beverages (and acing the alcoholic beverages themed picture round, but more on that later).

Tonight, the King(s) Trivia crowns went to Not the Door Guy, who started off the evening with three consecutive perfect rounds in which they doubled or nothing. Its hard to catch up to that kind of performance, but Freddy Krueger surely had a very solid effort, making up some solid ground in the forthcoming rounds, earning a second place finish.

Rounding up the evening was a race for third place was Tall Drink O' Wodder, Crows B4 Bros, and Spaghetti. There was a very intense, yet jestful competition specifically between Tall Drink O' Wodder and Crows B4 Bros. Kudos to Tall Drink on pulling ahead in the final few rounds. Spaghetti, what can I say other than you all did excellent for joining mid-game. I could see a third-place finish in the future with a full-King Trivia night of gameplay!
