QUIZ RECAP

Teams played it safe but that didn't mean tonight's game was any less exciting.

A tricky picture round had teams identify what book or play the movie/tv show shown was based on (West Side Story = Romeo and Juliet)

Johnny Carson was the answer to tonight's Guess Who round which all our teams got, though some took more time than others.

Tonight's drinking round had teams identify if a word was the name of a Star Wars character or a brand of birth control. Pig Sense knew their Blixus' from their Seif and won their team some free drinks.

The only two Double or Nothing attempts of the entire evening were played here and neither Steagles nor #GlennStrong ended up succeeding. However, this kept the scores for all four teams within 10 points of each other. Still anyone's game.

The final round of the night involved naming as many of the most recent Popes as a team could.

Despite a botched double or nothing, Steagles took home first place at the night's end with Pig Sense coming in second.

QUIZ RECAP

Courage. Determination. Fortitude. Lack of knowledge about national parks. These are all things I would use to describe the six teams who played this week at the Hyperion Public.

Saved by the Well and GTL both started off the game with a successful double or nothing.

While most teams did well during the video game vehicle picture round, the guess who round stumped all but two of the night's teams. A correct answer during the six-point clue put Saved by the Well well ahead of their competitors.

Tonight's drinking round had teams identify how many of a list of Swedish words were actual Ikea products. Quizards were able to tell a KLAGSTORP (a couch) from a HASTGRAV (Swedish for horse grave) and won their team some drinks.

At the night's end Saved by the Well needed no saving and took home first place with an 11 point lead. Like Winter I'm Coming came from behind (sorry) and took second.

GTL played GTWell and took a respectable third.

With the possibility of only three more weeks of trivia at the Hyperion, let's hope these teams and more come back in full force next week for another terrific night of King Trivia.

QUIZ RECAP

Don't call it a comeback, but I'm back to host another week of trivia here at the Hyperion Public and tonight was a great game. The lead changed several times throughout the seven rounds.

GTL and You're Doing Amazing Sweetie started the night off strong with both teams successfully doubling down. Though it's important to point out that every single got all the answers to round one right. This is a reminder to register your team as it can make a difference!

Round three saw GTL and You're Doing Amazing Sweetie solid streak come to an end as both teams were unsuccessful in their double or nothing attempts. This gave Cleveland!!!, whose team name was the most I've ever seen someone be excited about Ohio, and Manchatta a chance to catch up.

Cleveland's excellent guessing skills earned them free drinks during a baseball-themed drinking round.

At the end of the night, You're Doing Amazing Sweetie did amazing sweetie and took home first place with their third successful double or nothing of the night.
