Glucose Gladiators reclaim champion status!
Many new teams entered the trivia fold last week and it was another tight competition evening. All evening, each team would topple another, round after round. Dirty John and the Boys came out of nowhere in the last round, taking the 'double or nothing' option to rise up from almost last place and taking second. Fucknados, a returning winner, came back and gave a consistent performance.
Healthcare Gone Wild, Avogato Toast, Devil Fruits, and Spam Likely hedged back and forth, with few points differences in each round.
Dilf Lovers, Punkin Bizness, and Cheech & Chong gave a valiant effort and displaced each other round after round.

HOT DAM(S)! What a night.
What a tight competition last night! Hot DAMS, a newcomer team, brought the heat and dislodged returning competitors, Glucose Gladiators and Comfortably Dumb. An outstanding performance by new to us, but not new to King's Trivia, Avogato Toast, with a special mention for their final round domination. Another humbly-named newcomer duo, Astronomically Down Bad wasn't that far down; only 7 points away from placing in 3rd. Squirrelyy Temples gave their best, with special mention for knowing the niche 'Melba Toast' answer.
Everyone got their butts kicked to kingdom come in the Connections round. And though most of us just submitted our tv-series favorites for the final round honoring our 2022 Binge favorites... I can't fault a crowd for good taste! Here are some of the most popular answers for that round:

It's a new era at Velvet Oak Tavern's Trivia Night. The fall of neo-Rome, the end of one trivial legacy, and the beginning of a new one have begun.
The Glucose Gladiators were brought to their knees by new and returning teams but gave a valiant performance. The family-unit Fucknados finished in first place and we had our first tie-breaker showdown with returning team Comfortably Dumb and 6 Funzies.
A special shoutout to One and Done and Comfortably Dumb for their last-round performance, showing off their GDP/economic prowess.
