Total Domination by the Griffs!

It paid to be older (than the millennial teams) in tonight's trivia; apparently, a ton of 4/20-related content and knowledge appears mostly in the 1960s-1980s. 

The Griffs dominated the evening with first place finish and setting the record for most points awarded in a game night at Velvet Oak Tavern. Another team that placed in the top 2 performers of every round was Team Fuckery.

Returning team of charm, Comfortably Dumb, maintained their winning streak with a 3rd place finish. HOME SCHOOL YOUR KIDS (a team made up of mostly educators) showed us potentially the first reason for their team name- scoring only 29 points total. But brought infectious positive energy and good-natured sportsmanship we should all aspire to.

Newcomers Bespoke Post and Charlie gave Glucose Gladiators a run for their first-place reign. 

Lots of laughs were provided by other teams, both new and returning. It was a great night for both Swiftie and Book-tok fans, who got to show off their wits and score key points for their teams. 

Special shoutout to the Devil Fruits dominating the 'Bell(e)' round, securing many points with 'Double or Nothing'. And to the Bespoke Post for dominating in the final round- I'm confident they could give me a list of the best national parks to visit.

Nothing can keep seasoned Houstonians from their fun. 

Glucose Gladiators took back their reign of intellectual terror again this week. We also saw returning teams Healthcare Gone Wild, who kept newcomers on their toes each round. 

GUERRERO!!! brought the heat as a very competent team of educators and dominated the most rounds for the evening. Nuttin But Winners performed well in the 'Find The Connection' round (who doesn't remember Fraser from George of the Jungle?) and kept their host laughing at some hilarious, purposefully wrong answers.
