QUIZ RECAP

Good day, True Believers! It was good to return to a normal Thursday of quizzing at the always awesome Oil Horse Brewing Company in lovely downtown Longview, TX! I had to miss the last two shows so I was glad to be back behind the mic! As for the quizzers...I think they missed me until we got to the final round, and our intrepid teams learned that Lucky Charms, while being magically delicious, are magically confusing when it comes to shapes of the marshmallows. Not a single team was able to remember that the pot of gold marshmallow is NOT included in the current box of Original Lucky Charms. This caused some teams to tumble from the top 3, creating some serious team movement. That team movement allowed East Texas Storm Chasers to jump to first place with 57 points. In second, was Artie, The Strongest Man...In The World (easily the best team name associated with The Adventures of Pete and Pete I've personally ever seen) with 52 points, edging past Hot Pocket, Pop Socket, who finished in third with 51 points.

After an extremely crappy two weeks, it was great to be back at Oil Horse, which just recently celebrated their third anniversary! If you are in the area, swing by and spend a couple of hours with us! The beer is cold and extra delicious, and we will have some great trivia waiting for you! Excelsior!

We left Oil Horse after the quiz last night with a couple of questions.

1. Is Armageddon a good movie? (It's not)
2. Is Hulk Hogan a scumbag? (Without a doubt, and it kills 5 year old me.)
3. Was Christian Laettner the Ric Flair of college and professional basketball? (Hell, yes!)

Sandwiched between these deep, philosophical debates, we had yet another night of competitive trivia where the Double or Nothing feature either made dreams come true, or broke hearts of our teams of quizzers.

Los Pollos Hermanos was able to use those Double or Nothings perfectly to reel in a hard-earned victory last night with 64 points.

Not Today did the same plus had some impressive knowledge of the original 1992 Olympic Dream Team to sneak by The Cure For Trivia by a single point for second place. We hope to see y'all at the always awesome Oil Horse Brewing Company next week for our latest installment! Excelsior!
