QUIZ RECAP

I tried out a new intro tonight. It went something like this:

(Cue SNL theme song)

It's Tuesday night King Trivia! Starring....The Kids Table (they cheered), Running with Caesars (more cheers), Tequila Mockingbirds (ca-CAW!), the Oxymorons (woohoo), There's Always Next Week (even more cheers), and Ovaltine Jenkins (yay)! 

I'm Rebekah and I'll be your quizmaster for the evening! 

The teams seemed to enjoy it and it got everyone in the competitive spirit.

In Round 1, Every team doubled except for There's Always Next Week.

Round 2 saw more successful doubles, by everyone but Tequila Mockingbirds, who fell behind.

Round 3 was a Pineapple Hill trivia first - every single team doubled successfully!

In Round 4, the amazing winning streaks continued when every team but The Oxymorons got "Dolly Parton" on the 10 point clue.

Round 5 shook things up a bit. Oxymorons, There's Always Next Week, Tequila Mockingbirds and Running with Caesars all doubled...unsuccessfully. Two teams - Kid's Table and No Means Yes actually doubled successfully, putting them tied for first place with 72 points. One-man team Brain Fart joined this round.

For Round 6, all but The Oxymorons successfully doubled. BSFV All Stars decided to join the game.

Kid's Table and No Means Yes had PERFECT SCORES going into Round 7. They successfully doubled every round, and got the "Guess Who" round on 10 points, something nearly unheard of.

It was a tight race for Round 7, and it all came down to who knew their cars the best. Winning by a mere 2 points, and only missing 1 answer in the final round, the winner ended up being... No Means Yes (Ovaltine Jenkins)!

Congrats on their high score win (103 points!)

Trivia Tuesday for the win!

Round 1 started off strong for all teams - every team got a perfect score! Kids Table should have doubled, but didn't, so they started off a few points behind everyone else.

In Round 2, Won't Back Downers pulled ahead of everyone else by 1 point.

In Round 3, almost all the teams doubled again!

For Round 4, we had a record number of guesses on the 10 point clue (9 teams got it correct).

Round 5 really shook things up. Only two teams doubled, Tequila Mockingbirds and Won't Back Downers putting both of them solidly ahead of the rest of the teams, with Won't Back Downers ahead by a mere point. Smartinis should have doubled.

Since we were short on time, and following the theme of Monopoly from the connection round, the drinking round was "According to Business Insider how many days was the longest game of Monopoly?" The answer is 70 straight days. Won't Back Downers won a free round of drinks with their guess of 55.

Round 6 really shook things up. Smartinis really know their mystery meats as they were the only team to successfully double the round, catapulting them into 3rd place. Tequila Mockingbirds should have doubled, but still knew enough to pull ahead by 1 point.

In the last round, Won't Back Downers and Running with Caesars both got an impressive 8 out of 10 answers correct. But the Tequila Mockingbirds swooped in with a successful double, securing their first place win!

Terrific Tuesday Trivia at Pineapple Hill!

Tequila Mockingbirds started off strong with the only double in round 1. They held their 8 pt lead going into round 2.

Round 3, Tequila Mockingbirds faltered and doubled unsuccessfully, giving them a zero for the round. This allowed Running with Caesars and Oxymorons to jump ahead with successful doubles. Camel Tows also doubled unsuccessfully during the round.

On Round 4, Camel Tows and Kids Table know their child stars and were able to get the correct answer on the 10 point clue.

In Round 5, Tequila Mockingbirds redeemed themselves with the only successful double in the round, putting them ahead of Running with Caesars and Oxymorons.

For the drinking round, teams had to wish lady luck was with them as they tried to roll the number I called out with some giant dice.

Tequila's first place didn't last long because in Round 6, Running with Caesars placed 2 points ahead with a successful double.

It was down to the wire in Round 7. Kids Table made an impressive comeback to take 3rd place, knowing more about the Kardashian's tv shows than anyone else in the room. In the race for first place, ultimately Tequila new just a tad more than Caesars, snagging the spot just 1 point ahead.
