QUIZ RECAP
It was another thrilling week with good tunes, great drinks, and voracious trivia goers. A few newcomers to King Trivia and Pineapple Hill aimed to challenge our weekly regulars, a not insurmountable goal, but it was a struggle in which no quarter was given. Round one started off with a bang as four teams successfully double down. By around three, the spread was beginning to move with clear leaders pulling ahead- but in round five "Olympic Athletes from Russia" and "Gordon Ramsay's Bitches" each doubled-down and threw a wrench into the designs of "Tequila Mockingbirds" forcing the resident leaders of the pack to get serious and buckle down. "The Kids Table" looked poised to make a come back with a successful double down, but could not make up enough ground in the face of multiple competitors with successful double downs in rounds 5 and 6. Securing in where the points were laying no team attempted to double down in the final round, but everyone scored relatively high for a flashy finish. "Gordon Ramsay's Bitches", absolutely new to King Trivia, managed to cinch third place behind "Jiggers with Attitude", and "Tequila Mockingbirds" who sealed their destiny with 94 points, 14 points away from any challenger.

QUIZ RECAP
A stellar Tuesday night at Pineapple Hill with a brand new host! Two unregistered teams dropped out early due to the unyielding heat of the registered regulars. "Tequila Mockingbirds" and "Running with Caesars" took a commanding lead in round one with successful double-downs, setting the tone for the rest of the match. Neck-and-neck these two tenacious teams continued to meet each other's wits and knowledge, trading places hither and thither until a brilliant (and maybe a little lucky) streak in round 6, pushing "Running with Caesars" just out of reach of their competitors. There's more than just first place, though, and a successful double-down brought "There's Always Next Week" into prize contention, dashing the hopes of The Kids Table, who suffered a chilling Round 6 Goose Egg. Honourable mentions go to Nasty Women Plus One, and Bob Loblaw's Law Blog proving that consistency and persistence, at the very least, are worth admiring. The night ended with the top three spots going to Running with Caesars, Tequila Mockingbirds, and There's Always Next Week in descending order.
