- PUB QUIZ—Tuesdays @ 8:00pm
EVERYONE VOTED! and then they left the polls, civic duty done, hurrying to the greatest american pastime: KING TRIVIA!
"There's always next week" dominated the first round, scoring three times that of the closest competitor after a successful double-down, their usual rivals "Tequila Mockingbirds" suffered a zero from their double attempt, devastatingly repeated in round 2. Undeterred they scored double in round 3, leaping forward, but still trailing most. The excitement mounted as round, by round, Tequila Mockingbirds began a sprint to cover lost ground, and with two more high-value doubledowns were able to achieve second place, just ahead of newcomers (and a solo player team this week) "Quiz Quizstofferson"
Shout out to "Jacob and Madeline, aka Yes, and" for joining us in round 5 with enthusiasm and good spirits!

The first two rounds went smoothly, with very tight point spreads, but only Tequila Mockingbirds and There's Always Next Week escaped the horror of round 3 which saw no other team score higher than 5, and most close to or at zero. Bruised in confidence, but undeterred the teams slogged through round 5 when things started too look up, although no double-downs would land for the rest of the game, and round 2 was a distant memory. Some perfect scores did help teams pull away, with There's Always Next Week performing well and landing atop the heap.

The Dodgers were abound and we kept quiet so the Blue and Grey decked fellas could swing in peace.
Commercials were merciful and allowed the hearts and minds of quizzers to sway slightly to the task at hand: winning.
Two double-downs kicked off the game as There's always next week and Tequila Mockingbirds threw their brains against the boulders of trivial knowledge. They where joined repeating this feat for another 12 points each in round 3 by The Kid's Table. Round 4 left almost everyone scratching their heads until the 4th clue about everyone's favourite vampire slayer, and as the math put reality into contrast, those teams who were burned by attempted doubles knew that their bane was the only way to try and make it. Alas, Running With Caesars was three points shy in the final round, but had a jovial time nonetheless.
