QUIZ RECAP

With many surely nursing hangovers earned burying 2018 in a shallow, unmarked grave, 5 teams met to duke it out for 3 prizes. Running with Caesars earns an honorable mention for being the only team of regulars to make a showing at the first game of our new year!

Relsey and Kose doubled down in the first round with an epic display of confidence, and maintained the lead for quite a while, as every team had middling rounds for the next few. down into round 6, folks really started buckling down and making some of that sweet, sweet double-down magic. It launched the Blue Barracudas from first place, to a COMMANDING first place, but You Can't Sit with us remained in striking distance. Identical scores in Round 7 kept the top of the scoresheet the same, but a tiebreaker between Running with Caesars and Relsey and Kose left the former knocked out of prize contention, left only with their own graciousness and congratulations for their competitors.

QUIZ RECAP

It's the Last Tuesday Trivia of the year here at Pineapple Hill Saloon, and the turnout was marked with frivolity and cheer (those are different things, right?). A few folks were able to successfully double in round 1, but one mis-identified colour of Kwanzaa dashed the hopes of a few more than a few. No one chanced a double down after that until round 5, the sting of early defeat bitter and cold as a winter night of somewhere that isn't beautiful and sunny So Cal.

Teams mostly middled in rounds 2 to 4, with Snoopy's varied resume throwing curveballs until the third or fourth clue. Round 5 was a bit tricky, but a few teams were able to discern the theme and Running with Caesars, the most regular of regulars, were able to nearly double their score with a successful double-down, although they were outpaced by long-time players Free-Smoke and Pineapple Croquemdouches, who would lead the pack to the end, followed by a triumphant Quiz Kid Donnie Smith in Third Place!

The Holiday Season is in full swing, and what do we have in store? Oodles of Trivia Questions for hungry Quizzers, that's what. I mean, honestly, what were you excpecting? Cool Prizes? oh, well. That's reasonable, we have those, too.

Everyone did pretty well in the first two rounds with the only successful double-down coming from Raise Your Hand If You're Pretty! Round e kept the good times rolling with most teams scoring on every question and six double-down successes!

The good times rolled on through round 5, this time with seven doubles from confident teams. The confidence waned, rather prudently as in the final two rounds, most teams missed at least one, balancing our final point-totals to something rather closer to our average expectations.
