Mostly high answer rates kicked off the night, but the spread was wide with quite a few debut doubles which repeated in round 2!

Confidence was beat down by round 3 with zero double attempts and a lower score average and teams softly floated guesses in round 4, mostly waiting til clue 3.

Things picked up after the drinking round and groups hungry for victory pushed forward, doubling or zeroing out in an attempt to pull ahead.

A slew for high-value doubles in round 6 shook up the ladder, but the only attempts in round 7 failed, leaving the stalwart few at the top.

QUIZ RECAP

The night was damp, okay, wet, alright it was soaked. We've got more rain this season than all of last season's total. Actually, we crossed that point two weeks ago. I know we needed it, but sheesh, LA's maybe, just maybe, not built for this. You know what it is built for? Trivia. That's right. Trivia with a capital T which rhymes with - nevermind we're not doing that.

The first and second rounds were a cakewalk for most teams. The only few who didn't score big had a misplaced answer on a double-down or didn't double down at all, but no one missed more than one question in either round. Round 3 was a high score as well, and teams astounded with their knowledge of the more vague portions of Sarah Silverman's Biography. Knowing they needed to pull ahead if there would be any triumph, leading teams were still a bit wary with the double-downs, which allowed those trailing to pull into contention. some tough decisions were made as everyone pumped the brakes in round 6, and 7, evening down to a tiebreaker between Free Smoke and the triumphant BSFV All-Stars. Every point counted, even getting those pens in as the top 4 teams remained within a 3 point spread.

A rocky start from most, but not Tequila Mockingbirds (pictured), who took a doubledown in round 1, Pulling into the lead they would maintain the rest of the game! They were joined by East Coast/West Coast in round two, but only The Kids' Table would achieve the feat in round 3, where every other team was searching for a safe harbour to put into port. The Empire State Building, although a good vantage on its own, was hard to spot for most teams until the fourth clue. No matter, for round 5 had enough seats for everyone, although no one could figure out the clue. Round 6 had a few forlorn hopes that crashed into goose eggs, as did the final round, with the top of the podium almost settling. However, a tiebreaker between "Casual American Cannibals" (Raise your hand if you're pretty) and There's Always Next Week, was won by the former for perhaps their first Pineapple Hill Saloon Podiuming! Congrats, Cannibals!
