After a week off of trivia, it was good to be back! I missed you all! Hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving!

A tight race up through round 3 for Botch On The Belt, Our Combined IQ Is... and The Money Beets. Low Expectations caught up in round 4 to make it even more interesting! Del Boca Vista Phase 2 and Madrid doubled round 6 to get themselves in the thick of it as well! In the end it was:

Another first for me: using the traveling sound system of King Trivia! After many squealing/buzzing errors that made Del Boca Vista wish they sat at another table, I finally figured out how to adjust the volume so I didn't make the Teams ears bleed! Once I thanked Lauren @ PitFire Pizza for hosting Tuesday night King Trivia, we got underway with 13 teams vying for the awesome gift certificates they generously award the 1st-3rd place winners.

Many teams doubled the 1st round General Knowledge, with 3 dying by the double sword and 3 teams (Our Combined IQ is..., Lord Farquaad & I Choose Sparkle Mouse) enjoying the risk/reward! Just a little foreshadowing there, as these 3 teams competed for the top 3 spots all night. Keeping things interesting were great Round 2 scores for Streets of Rage, Indecisive & Del Boca - all scoring double points!

Sweet treat of the night: Lord Farquaad was the 1st to identify Tom Hardy as the Guess Who?, earning them a tasty dessert courtesy of our Hostess with the Mostess (& hopefully the dessert was the Moistess).

Plugging on as I battled my inexperience and Mic buzzing, our Teams all scored similar points in Round 5, but 2 separated from the pack at Round 6 (with successful doubles of the Novel Baddies topic).

In the end, Our Combined IQ is... took top spot with 3 successful doubles and a team full of trivia smarties - congrats! I choose you Sparkle Mouse (would love to know the tongue in cheek reference this is - I meant to ask - I swear!) slide into 2nd and Lord Farquaad (after losing the battle to Shrek & I believe used Shrek incorrectly in an answer!) won 3rd place. Congrats to all the teams and especially the winners of PitFire cash!

Now that's just showing off! After incorrectly doubling the first two rounds, Our Combined IQ Is... not only caught up, but won the night by 4 points! It was a crazy night of errors as there were 10 incorrect doubles for the night! I think that might be a record for me. A good knowledge of T.V. and football helped Good For Nothing come fro behind to take second place, and the Pink Snowflakes started out in charge, faded a little, but held on for third place. Who Runs The World? Squirrels! won the free Dessert round! (I think they actually won 3rd place as well, but an error in scoring on my part put them in 4th!)
