QUIZ RECAP

Tuesday at Red Sash Brewing, eight teams tried their hands at a friendly game of trivia. Some players were men, some were babes, and as the night wore on, some were sharks.

Le Dolla Beans survived wave after wave of High Low to become the winner of the drinking round, probably breaking some record for drinking round wins.

There wasn't much spread among our eight for the first several rounds. But after some successful Double-or-Nothing gambits (and a few not so successful ones), 3 Men and a Babe and The B team were well in the lead. Ultimately, it was 3 Men and a Babe who hoisted the first place $25 gift card like some French trophy from 1998.

Red Sash Brewing got wild on Fat Tuesday as KC's own Mardi Gras parade rolled by during the quiz! There was music, dancing, fire-breathing, and a very special Mardi Gras drinking round. In Spelling Beer, I put some difficult New Orlean's Mardi Gras terminology to my players and winner Le Dolla Beans let the good times roll with some complementary beers.

Putin is a Bitch and Le Dolla Beans were tied until round 5, when Le Dolla Beans made their move and took a decisive lead. Putin is a Bitch and Wrecked em? Damn near killed em! did their gosh darndest to catch up, racking up impressive scores themselves, but ultimately, Le Dolla Beans took the grand prize. Putin is a bitch took second and Wrecked em? Damn near killed em! ended up in third.

2/22/22-esday was a very intimate King Trivia quiz at Red Sash Brewing. We laughed, we cried, we guessed the MSRP for the 2022 Dodge Durango SXT base-level trim with destination fee and popular options for the drinking round. MAD PROPS to Tyger, who was closest to the correct price ($40,590) without going over, per The Price is Tight rules!

As to the game proper, Le Dolla Beans led the pack until Just Here to Watch executed an order 66 in round 4 and didn't let loose the lead. Le Dolla Beans came in close second, Tyger took third.
