QUIZ RECAP
It was a pretty calm night at Red Star. A bit less of a turnout than the last few weeks. But don't fret, people! There were a few teams who were eager to play the game. Let the games begin!
Players had to guess the name of the instrument in the photo. Round three was all about fast food & restaurant chains. Tennis athlete Rafael Nadal was the "Guess Who" person of round four. Find the Connection made me crave some curry. Contestants had to name the presidential candidate by their campaign "jam". And the teams had to list off 10 of the original Monopoly playing pieces from 1935-1940. Now, for the moment in the blog you've all been waiting for; the top teams of the evening.
The Droids You're Looking For, our returning team, got second-to-last with 41 points. Team Hayyyyy came in second place with a total of 44 points. And Los Papas, AKA the popes earned the win with a whooping 59 points. Great work, y'all!
I really appreciate the folks who played. Without you guys, Red Star wouldn't be able to keep hosting King Trivia. It'd be excellent if the teams came back to play next week! I'll keep my fingers crossed! This is Brittany, you Quizmaster, signing off!

Aw, man! Such an outstanding night of amusement here at Red Star. We had some awesome teams playing last night's game. Three teams from past trivia came out to see if they had what it took to score big. Now, for the game's round-up.
In the photo round, players had to identify the losing VP candidates. Machines and people named Kelly were subject of round 3. Nelson Mandela, The man who was named after the Mandela Effect was the "Guess Who" person of the evening. We had two winners for the "Drinking Round" (Worst Shorts Ever & Stay at homies) They drew the best Spongebob in my honest opinion. Find the connection was Washington State themed. Contestants had to put their money where their mouths were and match the famous figured to the currency they're printed on. Finally, the teams had to list off windwood instruments and name the characters from Roseanne the returned on The Connors spin-off. I must be in my age if I can name off the Connor family in a heartbeat. Hahaha! Now for the teams who stuck gold!
In second-to-last place with a score of 23 points was Us 2. RslashTacoma came in second with 57. And right up ahead was our crowning team The Peachy Cool Arrows with a grand total of 58 points. Kudos to the winning teams!

Geeze, Louise! The house was practically full on Monday at Red Star. People must've wanted to stay out of the rain. Well they got to stay dry, play some trivia and consume Mexican treats.
Another game with a Hodgepodge of categories. One round was all about coffee, tea & me! Players had the guess the city from its iconic skyline. Actress and one hit wonder (technically) Anna Kendrick was the "Guess Who" person of the evening. Fun fact; though she played Michael Cera's younger sister in Scott Pilgrim VS the World, she's actually a couple years his senior. "Find the Connection" literally made a count. I butchered famous sports catch phrases in round 6. Hahaha! And teams had to list off the top states that had the most people who were from outside the US. Alrighty, now the top teams!
In second-to-last place was Whatever You Want with a score of 11 points. Coming in second place with 46 points,The Droids You're Looking For. Returning team Medio-core scored 51 points, making them the winners of the evening. Now they gonna change up their team name cause they're beyond mediocre. But maybe they're just being humble. Hahaha!
I'm so happy that we had such a high turnout of players yesterday. One of the coolest things about being a Quizmaster is seeing teams return to play and them being so friendly towards me. Knowing that I have such a presence to where people want to keep playing with me gives me such a self esteem boost. Thanks to everyone who played! Y' all make it worthwhile!
