QUIZ RECAP

The rain was coming down hard last night, but that didn't halt the game. There was quite the turnout for such crumby weather. And your trusty yours truely came back to host after taking a week off. 

   The rounds last night were varied in difficulty. There were some "tough cookie" questions during the game. Teams had to guess the logos of well known sneaker brands. There was a "general knowledge" round that was solely dedicated to generals and knowledge. Susan Sarandon was the subject for "Guess Who". For the "Drinking Round", participating teams had to draw out a clown; cutesy or scary. During "Find the Connection", both myself and the players learned that a Nickelodeon isn't just a network for kids. It's also a jukebox that runs on five cent coins. Pretty neat! And in the final round, the contestants had to list 10 of the 12 of the sovereign capitals of South America. Now for the winners of the night!

   Coming in second to last, Juan Solo with 29 points. Our second and first place winners are returning, reigning champs. The Driods You're Looking For with 50 point and Worst Shorts Ever (Baby Sloth) with 53 points. I hope these two teams enter the King Trivia league play. They're really good and deserve other prizes besides a gift certificate.

QUIZ RECAP

Thank you to everyone who came out to play King Trivia at Red Star Taco Bar last night! It turned out to be a great and entertaining game. Each group was outstanding, creating a competitive atmosphere, and three winning teams walked away with some awesome gift cards to the bar. Another big thank you to everyone who came out for a fun evening and the staff at Red Star for being great hosts; hope to see everyone next Monday for more Trivia!

QUIZ RECAP

It was Singles Awareness Day last night. Some may also know it mostly as Valentine's day. A bit of a slower than usual night at Red Star but at least there were enough teams willing to participate. A few is always better than none, am I right!?!?!

   The teams had to guess the name of unwrapped candy bars in the photo round. Very Valentines centric indeed. In honor of Black History Month there was a round solely dedicated to black scientist. Former LA Lakers cheerleader turned pop singer Paula Abdul was the "Guess Who" subject. She and i share a birthday! Players had to match the movie to it's accompanying tagline. And the contestants had to list off 10 of the most popular streaming services. 

     Well, we didn't have a single losing team. Everyone who played received a prize. In 3rd place was Tacoma Super Sonics with 49 points. The Droids You're looking for came in 2nd with 51 points and The Antifa Super Soldiers of Cascadia won with 55 points. 

   I wanna give a shout out everyone who spent their Valentine's Day here at Red Star. And I wanna give some extra love to the staff. I wouldn't be able to do my thing without them so thanks, guys! This Brittany, your Quizmaster, signing off!
