Another wonderful night of King Trivia at Redbeard Brewing! 

This marks the second week in a row that another Dexter has joined us for trivia. I grew up watching the Highlander movies but we will always have room at trivia for more Dexters.

Our drinking round was a hit. In honor of valentines day, we chose our best pick-up lines. I can honestly say I will never use any of these haha. 

The winner: " Hey girl,  are you the square root of negative two? 

Because you are being irrational and I don't believe you are real."

The team had this to say: "Works everytime, fifty percent of the time."

Thank you all for coming.

It was my pleasure bringing a tiny bit of joy to Redbeard Brewing with the wonderful "What does a fox say?" round. The Redd Foxx Impression was hilarious, along with all the others. Thanks for participating. 

We had prizes for everyone! The Big booty Britches left with a limping Hulk Foot that resembled Tommy Pickles. Team Grecian Left with a fully functioning Hulk Foot, it stands and does nothing else, WOW! The Redbeard Irregulars got a sick sticker from the bestest trivia around. The Thirsty Turtles earned a $15 gift certificate for second place. The Jukebox Heroes turned it up to 11, earning themselves the top spot along with a $25 gift certificate.

I just wanted to start out by saying Thank You! to everyone that joined us for such a wonderful night at Redbeard Brewing Company.

As I gazed upon the far wall, I was taken back to a time before the pandemic. A time when we viewed powerpoints and had audio rounds.

I can vividly remember Redbeard before the epic remodel. How the bar wrapped the staff like a horseshoe and the side led to the bathroom. Blueprints for equipment lined the wall. 

We have grown greatly since then. Our little trivia family spans across the states and even across the sea. I can't take credit for most of this. Without the Small Batches Of Big Beers, this would have never come to fruition. Thanks Johnathan, for letting me be my goofy self all these years.

Back to trivia,

What a phenomenal night of absolutely pure joy. I haven't seen smiles that big in a while. It was my pleasure to host for all the teams, new and old. 

It marked the return of our special trophies. One was given to a player that shared my name. One was given out randomly, because why not. The final trophy went to last place. 

The top 5 teams played leapfrog for the final 3 rounds. At the end of the night, the Golden Oldies came out on top with The Thirsty Turtles gulping up second place. I thought Team Grecian would run away with the win but those double or nothings will bite back.
