What a really great crowd we had tonight at Rescue Brewing. THIRTEEN teams (wow!) including many for the very first time... and I'm pretty sure they're going to make it a regular stop!
Round One had three teams has successful Doubles, but Round Two was challenging because ... Dr. Seuss? Everyone Knows who the Cat In the Hat is. Who knew Bartholomew Cubbins? Damn few!! And was that Yertle? Or was it Mack? Hmmm.
As the game went on, there was some shuffling of rank, but Warners Weiner's was on the rise... look out!
We took a break for the Drinking Round, where Barstaffer Ellen was the judge for the "30 Second Art Class"-- picking the drawing of a hippo eating a pizza thta she'd put on her fridge. Congrats to Smarty Pints for winning that one!
Back to the game Warner's Weiner's was at full power... but would they keep it?
Enter the final round... and OH NO! Team IPA proved to be too much for them. The Weiner's lost stamina, and Team IPA took the top spot and the win! Congrats to them!

Thirteen teams came out to play and have some fun on this beautiful Wednesday evening, ready to play some trivia and enjoy some amazing brews and food at Rescue.
The first round started out fairly mellow with only two teams getting all six questions correct, and no successful Double attempts. From there, things got interesting... where Balutefisk knew there uncles well enough to shoot up in the rankings and take a healthy lead in the game.
In the rounds that followed, The B Sharps slowly... slowly caught up and ultimately tied with Balutefisk, but then Balutefisk regained a slight two-point lead.
We took a break for the Drinking Round, playing a new game at Rescue: SmarterPhone. Balutefisk showed us they knew both how to artfully use their phone AND their knowledge of Willy Wonka, winning a virtual Everlasting Gobstopper and a Tasting Board!
Back to the game and... with Balutefisk still in the lead going into the final round, a miracle happened.
TheThreeMustGetBeers are AMAZING coffee connoisseurs, getting a perfect score AND a successful Double, trouncing any other teams and taking the top spot! Congrats to them!
Balutefisk and B Sharps tied for 2nd, but as Balutefisk had already left the building, I awarded 2nd Place to the B Sharps, with Ohtani Betts taking Show.

Twelve teams all recovered sufficiently from St. Patrick’s Day, eager to be challenged by rounds of questions and win some glory, prizes, and ….well that’s probably it.
Round One had a couple teams scoring goose eggs on the board, but KABAM5 and Balutefisk getting all six questions right (no attempts at a Double).
Round Two had us challenged on the artistic works of consummate thespian Reese Witherspoon. Sorry, “Illegally Redhead” was not an acceptable answer.
Round Three had us enjoying the sweet sweet burn of Nevermore, but KABAM5 maintained their lead… but…
Round Four’s Guess Where had a new leader emerge— There’s no crying in trivia, who seems to know a little bit about "keeping it weird"!
The Drinking Round had Balutefisk knowing the largest chocolate bunny, and winning the tasting board!
Round Five reminded us the creativity we can order drinks, and There’s no crying in trivia maintained their lead...
Round Six was a Royal round, with There’s no crying in trivia still holding court over the other teams going into the final round,
...and then finally, we all went into space, with the ISS question making it mainfull clear most Americans don't know the difference between England, the UK, and Great Britain. Let's consider that a homework assignment. But congratulations to There’s no crying in trivia for taking the win for tonights game! Huzzah!
