King Trivia at Shadow Grove Brewing was yet again the place to be on Thursday night for another high-energy competition between newcomers and regulars alike! Honk if You're Corny showed everyone the importance of gambling your points by opting into Double Or Nothing in the first three rounds, taking and holding their lead throughout the night and walking away with first place, scoring $25 worth of beer discount coupons! Breaking free from their own team name was Last Place, which ended up clinching second place and $15 worth of coupons by getting every single answer right in our final ski resort-themed round. Finally, Burger Of The Day fended off fierce competition and held onto their third place rank, taking home $10 worth of coupons. Congratulations to all of our winning teams and a huge thanks to everyone who came out to King Trivia at Shadow Grove Brewing! King Trivia returned to Shadow Grove Brewing this week for another head-to-head trivia competition. Our teams are mighty, racking up points early and battling for shared placement. This culminated in a Tie-Breaker round for Panorama City Thunder and Cozie, who tied for third place at the end. The tie-breaker question on how many pigs are farmed annually each year led to wildly inaccurate guesses, but Cozie nabbed the third place spot with their closest answer (which was only off by 941 million!) and walked away with two coupons for $5 off one beer. Geo Dudes sat at a comfortable second place spot throughout the night, walking away with three coupons, while Designated Survivors stayed ahead of the pack with 67 points, nabbing the top spot and walking away with 5 coupons. If there's one takeaway from this week's King Trivia event at Shadow Grove Brewing, it's that the Double or Nothing button can significantly alter the game's outcome. Eight teams competed for glory, but the top three teams relied heavily on gambling their points away to win big. The Other Guys, a two-man group lost in the trenches in the first few rounds, surged into third place after successfully doubling down on our matching round. Meanwhile, Shohei Otani's Wife took a steady lead throughout the evening, but toppled down to second place after hesitating on doubling down in the matching round, giving a clear path to victory for Burger Of The Day with 73 points! Teams scored $5 off beer coupons for their successful wins. We can't wait to see what competition breaks out at next week's King Trivia at Shadow Grove Brewing!
