What's a better way to end a rainy Thursday in LA than joining King Trivia at Shadow Grove Brewing for a good ol' fashioned bar quiz? That's the easiest trivia question ever: the answer is nothing! Six teams competed for glory over seven rounds of trivia that tested their knowledge on Samuel L. Jackson movies, backing bands, Greek actors, and more! Competition was fierce, but in the end, Road Blueberries locked in a third place victory at 29 points, scoring two beer coupons each worth $5 off a brew at Shadow Grove. Coming off several weeks of trailing behind, the one-man brains behind Cosmic Gumbo landed a second-place victory at 37 points, bagging three coupons for his efforts. Determined to win the top prize to celebrate a friend's birthday, team Pineapple Cheese rallied their group for a first place victory, receiving a total of $25 worth of beer coupons for their efforts! Congrats to all the winning teams--and a huge thanks to all players for bringing the laughs and good vibes. King Trivia at Shadow Grove Brewing was THE place to be last night as fourteen teams went head-to-head in an electrifying night of trivia! A whopping 58 players competed for glory over seven rounds of trivia that spanned topics including movie franchises, computer viruses, and Leslie Odom Jr.'s career. It was anyone's game throughout the night as teams tied or trailed each other with 1- to 2-point leads, and it wasn't until our matching round that a clear picture of potential victors emerged. Beating our regular champions Burger of the Day for third place with only a one-point lead was team Chicken Dinner, who scored 48 points and two beer coupons for their efforts! Group B returned this week to claim the second place prize with 53 points, bagging three beer coupons as a result. But the unstoppable Conclave FTW took home the gold (in the form of five beer coupons for a total of $25 off brews) with a whopping 62 points, proving the power of strategic risk with two successful double-downs at the start! Congrats to all of our winners--and yet another massive thanks to all the players for joining us at Shadow Grove for a great time! What better way to celebrate this year's first hint of a cool spring evening in the San Fernando Valley than grabbing your friends for a few rounds of brews and King Trivia at Shadow Grove Brewing?! Eleven teams brought the spirit of friendly competition to the outdoor patio at Shadow Grove, testing their knowledge of video game close-ups, car models from Ford, the Kennedys, and more over seven rounds of thrilling trivia. Our confident competitors doubled down throughout the night and their efforts paid off with some big leads. In the end, Burger of the Day and Red Hot Trivia Peppers went head-to-head in our tiebreaker round about Imelda Marcos' shoe collection to determine our third place winners, and with a guess of 1,500, Burger Of The Day guessed closes to the First Lady of the Phillippines' total pairs: 1,060! Their efforts scored them two beer coupons, each worth $5 off a beer at Shadow Grove. With a one-point lead, The B Team avoided our tie-breaker round at 56 points to clinch second place and three coupons. However, with a whopping 74 points and THREE successful attempts at Double-or-Nothing, Anything for Salinas claimed victory at first place and five coupons for a total of $25 off their bar tab!
