Tuesday evening at Snakes & Lattes we had a total of 13 teams play for their chance to win gift cards to the bar! Trivia was a perfect way to escape the stormy weather.
Round 1 started our teams off easy with some General Knowledge. After adding points for registered teams Smart and Pretty were in the lead with 8 points!
Round 2 brought up the bar a bit by asking teams to identify the sci-fi or fantasy series based on a single image taken from the opening title sequences. 3 teams decided to play their Double or Nothing in this round. 12 Left Feet and Little Pickles were able to earn an additional 16 points for their teams and Boots the Monkey was able to earn 12 additional points!
Round 3 contained references to Italy in either the questions or the answers. Our most commonly missed question asked, "which Italian multi-billionaire was the first fashion designer to ban models with a body mass index under 18?" Many of our teams assumed in was Gianni Versace however the correct answer was Girogio Armani.
The theme for Round 4 this week was Guess Who. The majority of our teams were able to guess the mystery person correctly after a few hints, only 3 teams guessed incorrectly. The woman we were hinting towards was Emilia Clarke, the mother of dragons herself.
Our Find the Connection for Round 5 proved to be a bit tough for our teams. Hot doggin chose to play their Double or Nothing this round and they almost had the additional 20 points if it weren't for the final question asking about the commonality between them all, which was that each included the last name of a famous actress.
Round 6 asked our teams to match the fake movies to the real movies in which they appear. The most amount of points earned by any of the teams this round was 7 points to Smart and Pretty as well as 12 Left Feet.
And finally, our last question of the evening asked what are the 10 countries with the most airports. We had 3 teams try their luck at a final Double or Nothing, unfortunately Epstien Didn't Quiz Himself, We Thought This Was Kickball, and Storybrooke were all unable to earn those extra points as we closed out the game.
In the end our top three teams were Little Pickles with 53 points, 12 Left Feet with 47, and Smart and Pretty with 44 points. A congratulations to all of our teams for participating last night and join us again next Tuesday night at 7pm at Snakes & Lattes!
This Tuesday evening 11 teams faced off in trivia at Snakes & Lattes! Our teams this week included Pickle Party, Moose on the Loose, The Whale Riders, King Pin, The Boomers, Herd of Turtles, Silver Flip Flops, We Thought This Was Kickball, Krusty Krew, Paws, and Box o'Rocks.
In Round 1 our teams had to answer some general knowledge questions. By the end of the round we had two-way ties in first, second, AND third place! In first we had Pickle Party and Herd of Turtles with 7 points each. In second, The Whale Riders and We Thought This Was Kickball with 6 points, and in third with 5 points we had a tie between Moose on the Loose and Silver Flip Flops.
Round 2 asked the teams to identify the famous women immortalized in the statues shown in the images. Our teams did quite well in this round though many thought Jane Austen was Susan B Anthony.
In Round 3 the theme focused on inventors and inventions! Moose on the Loose and Pickle Party were able to get all of the answers correct this round!
Round 4 this week was a Guess What, as our teams attempted to solve the clues for our mystery object. 5 of our teams thought the mystery object was an iPhone or an Apple TV. We Thought This Was Kickball, Herd of Turtles, Silver FlipFlops, and Moose on the Loose were all able to correctly guess the thing after our second clue, giving each of their teams an additional 8 points! Pickle Party was able to guess it after the third clue, earning 6 points for their team and Paws were able to get it on our last clue giving them 2 points!
For Round 5 our teams had to find the connection between answers 1 through 9 in order to answer question 10. Moose on the Loose and Pickle Party were our only 2 teams that were able to identify that all of the answers contained a name of an award!
Round 6 asked our teams to match the tasty drinks shown to the food/restaurant chains they come from. We had 4 teams apply their Double or Nothings for this round and unfortunately none of them were able to earn any extra points as they had missed some of their match-ups.
Finally for Round 7 teams were asked to name two-word titled movies that had won the Best Picture Oscar award, these movies also could not include the word "The" in the title. Our teams equally did not do so hot in this round but everyone made a great effort and put down some really strong answers!
In the end Pickle Party had won the game with a total of 49 points with Moose on the Loose shortly behind with 47 points, and Herd of Turtles just a few more behind in third place with 44 points. Join us again next Tuesday to see who our champion will be!
This Tuesday evening we had 10 teams compete in trivia! This included Biz in tha Trap, Blame It On The Goose, Let's Get Quizzical, We Thought This Was Kickball, Pups n'Suds, Team Policy, Carry Your Weight, Bed Bath & Beyonce, South Salem Saxons, and It's Trivial.
Our Round 1 General Knowledge. Blame It On The Goose was able to get all of the answers correct, and in addition to having a team number they started off the game with 8 points!
Round 2 asked our teams to identify the Gordons shown in the images. Our teams did fairly well in this round. My personal favorite was from South Salem Saxons who wrote "Commissioner Gordon" for each of the answers they did not know. Biz In Tha Trap and Bed Bath & Beyonce got the most amount of points in this round with each of them earning 6 points.
For Round 3 the theme was that all answers would have either an X or the word "Oh" within them. By the end of this round Blame It On The Goose was in first place with 18 points. In second we had Biz In Tha Trap with 16 points and in third was We Thought This Was Kickball with 15 points.
The theme for Round 4 this week was a Guess Who. Let's Get Quizzical was able to identify our mystery man after the third clue, earning their team 6 additional points. Biz In Tha Trap and Carry Your Weight were able to guess correctly after our fourth clue, giving them each 4 points and Bed Bath & Beyonce guessed it by our final clue. After many founding fathers were named, the specific one we were searching for was none other than Samuel Adams.
Round 5 asked our teams to find the common theme within all the answers. Only three teams were able to identify Green Eggs & Ham as the commonality- those were Blame It On The Goose, Pups n'Suds, and It's Trivial. Blame It On The Goose also decided to play their Double or nothing for this round. Unfortunately they missed just one of their answers and were unable to earn any extra points for the round.
In Round 6 our teams were asked to match the leading actor to the war film they performed in. Carry Your Weight and Biz In Tha Trap both chose to play their Double or Nothing in this round and both of them missed a few questions, meaning neither were able to earn more points in this round.
And finally for Round 7 we had 2 final questions to ask. Those were which 4 NFL teams had fully alliterative team names as well as the 6 states that border Pennsylvania. South Salem Saxons and We Thought This Was Kickball both played Double or Nothing for this last round. The South Salem Saxons were able to get all of the answers correct, giving their team 20 extra points to end the game! We Thought This Was Kickball wrote down 7 answers and were able to get each of those correct, giving their team 14 extra points!
In the end our top three teams were- We Thought This Was Kickball in first with 45 points, Let's Get Quizzical in second with 41, and Pups n'Suds in third with 38 points!
Join us again next week to see who bests them all in trivia!
