What a ho-ho-ho holiday fun-filled trivia night we had at The Famous!
I am so grateful for the adventures that we've had together from Halloween until Christmas now and thank you to the wonderful teams who played tonight with repeat Slammers Kristina and Jim from two different teams.
Jim's been playing since November and has become the bona fide Survey Pro and Kristina just came in last week and got hooked on the joy of Survey Slam so brought her friend, Jim, to intro him to the game! And then we all talked until we were all super warm standing by the Christmas tree LOL for an hour even after Survey Slam ended. "And you thought Survey Slam got heated? Well see what happens after hours!"
What I had not seen before yet but we achieved tonight -- we got everyone who was in the bar to play!!
Animal Crackers was on their way out, having closed out their tab at 7:50PM but I encouraged them to play a few rounds and they said "sure...a few rounds."
And guess what -- they nabbed the lead the whole night and ended the night with the big W!
And how about Pattyflafla doing so well with their initial rounds and then when they had to leave, they gave their sheets to the pair next to them so that pair inherited the points, then built up on them and fell in love with Survey Slam, too, getting a perfect score on the handout.
We had so many impressive moments in the game --
Like when we had a five-way tie with nine points apiece between teams in Round Five.
And Team Barbara Claus slaying as always with
"What would Mrs. Claus like for Christmas?"
-(joking) A NAME!
Hence Barbara Claus the team was born.
And Animal Crackers said "a vibrator."
Me: well "alone time" is the second most popular answer. Should vibrator count? Okay let's count that!
(Cheers from whole bar)
And then Animal Crackers got a perfect Round Seven naming all those Santa prefix locations!
Other fun (though incorrect) answers:
"Name something a cheapskate would wrap presents in to avoid buying wrapping paper."
-Last year's wrapping paper!
"What is the first Elf quote you can think of?"
-Everyone names a different one -- which made them even more enjoyable to read out loud!
All in all, thank you to everyone for making me feel so at home at The Famous! Especially T, Adam, Joseph, and Swan!
I definitely am coming back to visit and play in 2020.
You made my holiday season so thoroughly happy!
Thank you, Famous FAMily, for all clapping for me to send me off! 🙂

Does YOUR trivia night have a Ryan Reynolds ringer attending?
Didn't think so.
Well, Tuesday night Survey Slam at the Famous is where it's at -- and where Ryan Reynolds doppelganger repped Team Cross very proudly with his coworkers, going head to head up until the finish line with the other half of his coworkers playing as Field Edge Sucks.
Waifus and Husbandos were also a lovely team that split up into two just so they could play against each other and altogether, we had a very lively night.
Photos or it didn't happen.
Check our lively photos out!
Everyone named "guava," "kiwi," and "pomegranate" when they had to guess what survey takers thought was a fruit that makes an underrated juice and one team put "KY" for what a cartoon rich man could use to fill up a pool (other than money/gold coins). Also love how you guys named "jetpacks" and "hoverboards" across the board for the piece of tech that is commonly portrayed in movies about the distant future.
And what can I say about the MLB team name with the least intimidating team name? Except just that I love that question!
Despite how the answers were Oakland A's, LA Angels, and Chicago White Sox, I personally love Team Cross's answer of the Cubs!
Team Cross chased Field Edge Sucks all the way till Round 7 -- closing the point deficit to 1 point, with Team Cross having named one more fast food restaurant than Field Edge was able to. Team Cross had 30 points going into Round 8, chasing Field Edge's 31. Then Waifus had 27 points and Husbandos with 25.
It all came down to how people like their eggs!
Field Edge Sucks and Husbandos went all in wagering 10 and guessing scrambled.
Waifus guessed over easy, as did Team Cross.
However, Waifus only wagered 5 points whereas Team Cross bet it all!
So there we have our standings.
But the real winners are all of us for enjoying such an amazing night!
And can we say how, when Ryan Reynolds' 6Underground trailer started playing on the TVs how much it was like looking into a mirror for Team Cross?
The quote of the night has to be --
Me: Has anyone ever told you that you look so much like Ryan Reynolds?
Team Cross: Sometimes, but I get Channing Tatum a lot, too.
Me: Who do you prefer?
TC: Well, they're both pretty great.
Thanks everyone for coming on out! And thanks to TC and Field Edge Sucks for welcoming me into your company photo 🙂 Honorary ServiceTitan member here when I'm not Survey Czar-ing! We make a perfect Christmas card!
Which famous doppelganger will *you* see at The Famous next week?

We had quite a night of lovely teams out here for Survey Slam the week after Thanksgiving -- and my did the scores get close, round after round!
Get Disney+, Bumble, and Team Hapa all gained 3 points apiece in Round Two, but all teams were equally stumped with none able to remember John C. Reilly as Will Ferrell's most well-known counterpart/ner-in-crime for Round Four.
Round Five was where things got most exciting as three teams scored ten points apiece and Team HAPA scored 11. And Juliegoolia roared on into second place by Round Five.
Then, the other three teams each scored four points with Round Seven, naming the most well-known scores for movies -- so yes, no one had to feel bad about not knowing more than two of the films as everyone was in the same boat!
By the final round, Juliegoolia -- who'd been giving us so many great creative (and incorrect but still fabulous) answers all night put "spaghetti and meatballs" as the type of food that couples would feed each other seductively and gave us Lady and the Tramp vibes with the memory!
Bumble took the lead with strawberries, wagering ten points -- and ending the night on 32 points!
Then, Team Hapa took second place from our usual winner, Get Disney+ by ending on 30 points and naming strawberries as well.
Get Disney+ put grapes and ended up in third place!
But, Honorable Mention has to go to Juliagoolia, who gave us the following amazing answers --
"Name a location you wouldn't want to end up during a zombie apocalypse."
-Skid Row/Compton
"If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you'd buy?"
-Baby Yoda!
And we guess there are many names for Buff guys as you all ideated "Tank," "Macho," and "Incredible."
And for songs we always hear in karaoke, y'all put "We Are the Champions."
We are all the champions, indeed!
Come play next week!
And bring more blind dates and Bumbles!
