80S MOVIES, MUSIC AND MORE THEMED EVENT AT THE OAKS RECAP

Today was a fun and competitive game. 

No one doubled Rounds 1 and 2. 

Euro Cup Winners doubled Round 3, propelling them ahead of the rest. However, everyone got all the questions right, and all the teams should have doubled. 

Round 5 was an upset for most teams. 3 teams doubled unsuccessfully - only 1 Man Army didn't double and therefore got points that round. 

Round 6 and 7 were pretty tricky, so no doubles happened. 

Ultimately, Euro Cup Winners took the win followed by Vanilli Oates Duran in 2nd place. 

QUIZ RECAP

What a fun night of trivia at the Oaks Tavern -- home of the Valley's finest. Competition, comradare, enthisiasm, brainpower, filled the air. 

I tested teams knowledge while they tested my ability to pronounce toungue twisters. As it turned out, the team with the most "w's" got the big "W" in the end. Wilwo Waggins remained in the lead through all 7 rounds with both successful and unsuccessful doubles. 

But contrary to Ricky Bobby's belief, second and third place also participate in the glory. This week the difference between the prestigious bronze medal (bar tab) and a entusiastic high five was only one point. If only Genetics had studied up on their war movies.

Spin the wheel! Spin the wheel! Less Awesome, More Sauced won the most important round of them all: the drinking round. They dazzled the crowd with a buzzer beater trick shot in honor of the late great Kobe Bryant.

QUIZ RECAP

Crowded house tonight! 9 teams finished out the night at The Oaks this week.

The Taylor’s might not have made it to the winner’s circle but they had a very energetic bunch. They came alive in the drinking round game of Categories, having to name off as many NFL Teams as they can in under 1 minute. They tied with Where’s the Fire’s naming of female musicians, with resulted in a tie breaker. And it was Taylor's impressive knowledge of countries that ultimately won them 8 Silly Rabbit shots.

There were a lot more doubles played this week. Less Awesome, More Sauced started out the night in the lead but Noho Farts District quickly shut that down and powered through the rest of the game with an impressive 3x successful double or nothing rounds. Sauced still got second place and Quiz in My Pants followed them for third.

Regular Pickle, Where’s The Fire (sans hats this week), Ceviche, Dingleberry Farms, Titty Titty Gang Bang, and The Taylor’s rounded out the remaining spots but all brought fantastic energy to a wonderful night.
