QUIZ RECAP

Six teams took part at The Oaks this week, along with your Quizmaster Heather.

It was pretty much Where’s The Fire's night (probably because of their amazing fire hats), with Dilly Dilly on their tail all night. By Round 7 it was down to the wire, but a successful double or nothing from Dilly shot them past Fire to the number one spot. Eventhough a little late, Rebel Scum got to finish round 1 in the knick of time, and it’s a good thing they did because they were able to nab the third place spot.

I am Cornholio, Buy A Round, and Roarin’ 20’s were all very close and were able to finish out with a still impressive night.

For the drinking round, two participants from each team were asked to do the “draw on the back” challenge to have their teammate guess what the person on their back was drawing. While everyone gave an amazing effort, I am Cornholio had some secret artists, and the drawee managed to create a picture that matched the closest to the drawer’s picture, winning them a spin on the drinking wheel for some free Fire-Chata shots.

QUIZ RECAP

With tempuratures outside in the triple digits, there was no surprise at the slow night at The Oaks Tavern, but the energy was high with 4 teams beginning the game and another one joining in round 3. By round 5 the bar was stuffed full of people.

Titty Titty Gangbang and Secular Healing took early leads, and stayed there until the 5th round which saw Titty Titty's typo cause them to drop down to third place. 

A musical themed drinking round asked teams to identify the title, artist, and year of release for the original Ghostbusters theme song. Secular Healing knew the correct answers before the first verse was over and won themselves a round of delicious shots. 

As if that weren't enough for them, Secular Healing took first place with large lead, followed by Dilly Dilly and Titty Titty Gangbang.

We had 8 teams for "The Oaks"-lympics this week, and Quizmaster Heather was back for some action as well.

Big Dog Rhinos seemed to have the clear lead of the night but Masks Up for Harambe was right on their tail. They were able to stay in first until the first successful double or nothing of the night in round 6 proved fruitful for both the Rhinos and Vaxxed, Waxxed, and Back to Masks, ultimately allowing them to take the gold and silver spots. Harambe didnt leave empty handed, though, and still was invited to the podium to accept the bronze.

Dilly Dilly, Titty Titty Gangbang, Don't Worry About It, Titanic Swim Team, and Frozen Roses gave it their all and played great games.

For the drinking round, the teams had to put their TV theme song knowledge to the test, but it was Harambe that was able to beat out everyone else to win some free Sour Apple shots.

The stars of the night were the pups that came to hang with us and become the unofficial mascots of the evening. Being able to sleep through all the screaming and music makes them the real mvps.
