I sure had a great time filling in for Frank at Pizza Press in NoHo last night. He's established this venue with a fine group of regulars and even a few new faces last night.
As usual with us substitute quizmasters, I was asked by one of Frank's fanatics where he was, and why he wasn't there. It's a difficult question to answer, because it's a difficult thing to know. It's a funny thing with Frank. He's a bit of an unknown quantity.
As with most of the quizmasters at King Trivia, Frank was recruited out of the CIA. Recruited, but never retired. He is called upon, from time to time, to use his particular set of skills in aid to his country. His black-ops training has proven to be particularly valuable in places like redacted, and classified and none of your damn business.
Also, he just went through a particularly messy breakup with Taylor Swift (Who hasn't, right!?) and may have had to go console her bruised and broken heart. Or Katy Perry. Coulda been either one. Or Beyoncé. (Don't tell Jay Z!)
Or, he might have been undergoing a medical procedure to have that annoying third testicle removed - again! It keeps growing back, and may explain, at least in part, his success with Taylor, Katy and Beyoncé.
And Miley. Frank gets around.
So where was Frank last night? Honestly, there's no way to know. Saving the world? Satisfying a woman? Terminating a testicle? Could have been anything. But he'll be back next week.
Or not. Frank is a mystery to us all!
Had a lot of new faces join us tonight and we had a blast.
Percepfish took it all in the end with an exquisitely executed double in round 6. Fibonacci took second while Hocus Focus and Team Porkchop battled it out for third place with HF getting it in the end.

Had another rousing trivia filled night at The Pizza Press. Had a new team join us and a couple teams head some new teammates. Always happy to see new faces.
It was a pretty tight race for everyone until the finals rounds when Suicide Squad Goals got a double and pulled ahead. They finished in first. Rickety Crickets and Waiting For Nibiru fought hard to secure second and third place with the Crickets winning out.
Can't wait to see everyone again next week and I promise I will have my music device charged.
