QUIZ RECAP

There was an incredible evening of quizzing in Blue Lake. Three teams entered into battle for quizzing supremacy, and it was very close all the way around until the fourth round, when two teams who seemed to know the answer was Fight Club before I even read a word, and the third team didn't seem to know the answer even after it was read.

After round six, it looked as if our new team was going to run away with the win, leaving both teams of regulars in the dust, but it was not to be, and at the end of seven we had a tie for first. Wild guessing ensued, and I'm about to quiz emerged triumphant. Next week will be even more exciting.

QUIZ RECAP

Well, the last trivia night for 2019 in Blue Lake was a great one! Seven teams were on hand, fighting for trivia dominance and also for prizes. Our regulars, the Dynamic Duo, had a lot of competition, but led after the first round.

Newcomers Eric Squared and Warriors brought a lot of fun to the evening's festivities, and provided some stiff competition, but after two rounds it was The Lakey's with the lead, but the Warriors hit the double or nothing on round three to take a commanding lead.

Alfred E Neumann helped the Lakey's catch up in round four, only trailing Warriors by two points at the end of four, with Eric Squared and Dynamic Duo close behind.

At the end of the fifth round we had a tie game, with three teams just off the lead and it was still just about anyone's game. After six rounds there were still only six points separating the top five teams, but only one person in the building knew any of the Mortal Kombat "kombatants" and he knew seven of them, giving The Lakey's the clear and definitive victory.

This year of quizzing has been a blast! Next year is going to be even better!

There was some outstanding quizzing going on in Blue Lake on Tuesday night. Three teams entered the ring (there is no ring) to battle for trivia supremacy, and they were all determined to emerge victorious.

Spit Fire successfully took the double or nothing in round 2 and took what seemed to be an insurmountable lead, and nobody in Blue Lake has any idea who Bill Murray is, so after 4 rounds, Spit Fire was still way out in front.

But after two straight weeks of getting all ten questions correct in round 6 and not checking the double or nothing box, Gruesome Twosome did not fail to check the box this week, and took the lead by a single point, and they held onto that single point lead to win the quiz.

What an amazing night of quizzing. Next week is the last quiz of 2019 - then two weeks off before we return bigger and better than ever in January.
