Sorry I missed y'all last week, but glad to be back with another super heated game at The White Harte!
In tonight's "Hunt for the Red October" Drinking Round, a rep from each team tried to shink my hidden shubmarine with while playing the classhic board game Battleship! Firsht one to hit it won! (my autocorrect is going nuts over my typed Sean Connery impression! lol) Only 3rd up, Jay from Wrong Again nailed the sub with a guess of G8! Not even giving the other teams a chance!
Coming in 2nd place in our regular trivia game was the team of hippies I've come to know and love as the Tree Huggers!
Tonight's Rikki Tikki Takers of 1st place! The Fighting Mongooses! with 3 perfect rounds, one of which they doubled down on! (They even drew a little picture for me! With a much more impressive beard than I really have! Thanks guys!)

It was LITERALLY standing room only last night, as team "Guru and Company" (and their stall of NERDS!) took home an eleven point victory at The White Harte. Team "The Work Thing" finished in second with 60 points and team "Fighting Mongooses" rounded out the top three. The White Harte fielded twelve teams with over fifty players going for it! As one waitress put it, it was the largest crowd they had ever seen assembled for trivia! GOOD JOB!
For the drinking round I asked for a location and received "The Promenade." I then asked another player for something commonly found at the Promenade, and received the word "bikes." From there, players had to come up with the best punchline to a joke we would make up on the spot based on the suggested word.
Here's your winning joke from team "One Smart Fellow, He Felt Smart:"
185 bikes walk into a bar, and the bartender says,
"Hey, we don't serve bikes here!"
So the bikes said,
"But we're two tired to go anywhere else!"

Holy double downs Batman! WOW! There were 15 successful Double or Nothing's in tonight's game. Which might be a record in my career as a Quizmaster! I say "might be" because, let's be honest... I drink a lot. Another amazing stat for ya, every team got the "Guess Who" round correct before the 6 point clue. I think I've only seen that maybe once before.
Tonight's drinking round was "Get Out of my HEAD!" Where teams had to try and read my mind and come up with the same answer as me within categories like: Color, Holiday, Marvel Superhero, Hard Liquor, etc. I had 2 teams score a 6 out of 10! Luckily, I built in a tie breaker by having each team pick a number between 1 & 100. The breakfast that talks back Snap, Krackle & Pop won and enjoyed their round of free...WATER?!?! Well, at least their responsible.
In 3rd place tonight, the marmots on a mission! The Fighting Mongooses! Nice back to back doubles in rounds 2 & 3!
Everyone likes Journey right? Not our 2nd place team, they call bullsh*t! There's No Such Thing as South Detroit took the silver with 2 perfect doubles and a 10 point clue in round 4!
Our champions tonight may not have lived up to their name, only beating their competitors by 1 point. But they did manage to grab the gold and prove their superiority! Ultimate Dominators claimed victory with 3 perfect doubles!
