In a city known more for its glitz than its grit, Angel City Brewery is proud to rough things up a bit and work beneath the shiny surface. Our home in the Los Angeles Arts District is both brewery and canvas, the center of a revival for the city's artists, musicians, hustlers, and craftspeople. It's an LA that's as ambitious as it is diverse & and our beer is no exception.
Never let it be said that any point doesn't matter! Tonight, in a thrilling finale, all three of the top three teams were within a SINGLE point of each other! Second Place was a tie that needed breaking, and the win went to Oedipus & the Mofos. If any of these teams hadn't registered their team for those two bonus points, they'd be down among the rest of the rabble. Plus now they're hot on their way to the tournament of champions! Another toasty warm July evening in the halls of Angel City, and tonight the win went to newcomers Team Baby! Speaking of newcomers, we were pleased to welcome Quizmaster-in-Training Megan to the mic tonight! (If anyone has a hankering for a bubble-themed birthday party, she's the one for you!) The greatest tragedy of the evening belongs to team Heart Sharks, who would have placed on the podium if not for a failed double-down in round number 5. Alas their answer made sense and DID fit the connection, but the Soul Stone is orange, not red, and now that knowledge will haunt them forever. That kind of close call makes me wish I had another shot with a Reality Stone...

We filled Angel City's main hall tonight! Questions were hot. Contestants were hot. Night was hot. Everything was hot. Quite a bit of jostling among the rankings all through the night, but in the end Oedipus & the Motherfuckers took yet another win. They started out strong and finished strong. ...And also were strong in the middle. Yep that tends to do the trick.
But mystery of mysteries, when it came time to hand out the prizes, the second and third place teams had already skipped town! And so their prizes were passed on to the next teams down the list. Just goes to show you, stick around a little and who knows what good things will come your way!
