Delta breezes made for a cool, pleasant night at Campus Brewing. The Life of the Donner Party won the tie breaker to come in 1st place tonight, followed by PRIDE to be An American in 2nd, and team Drunk But Right in 3rd. The technology dieties were so good to us: we successfully got through all 7 rounds of play on our new app! It was a big night with 11 teams powering through some tough questions and stiff competition. Congratulations to our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams, respectively: We Mustache You A Question, Life of the Donner Party, and Cheddar Traditionãl. Big ups to our returning players and new faces alike, and thank you to our kind hosts at Campus brewing!

An amazing turnout of teams at this venue, and what was not to love about hosting at Campus Brewing Company in West Sac.

All teams brought their A game. I had spotted a few familiar faces, "The Life of the Donnor Party". I initially met this group at Husick's Taphouse out in Clarksburg. This team was met by five other teams, but in the end, "The On my ways" took home the imaginary trophy with an amazing 20 point lead. Way to go guys! 

************Fun Fact of the Week*******************

Welcome to our venue here in Sacramento where you can find many of our historic sites from the capitol building to the governor's house, but often overlooked is Sutter's Fort near midtown. It was here in the 1840s that the first piece of gold was found at Sutter's Fort. John Sutter, at the time, built the fort as a Mexican citizen. However, no more than two weeks later, the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was signed which relinquished the land of Sacramento to the United States. Shortly after, word of the gold rush spread. The mass immigration to California was what lead to California becoming a recognized state!
