About Eighth & Rail

Eighth & Rail's liquor license was the first recorded as Derrick's Saloon back in 1878, making the bar 138 years old! A historical site located across from the Metrolink station where back in the day miners traveling north would stop for some tasty libations. Today we offer something for everyone. Come and enjoy a beer from our 14 draft selection, full bar featuring over 25 different bourbons, 20 tequilas and a craft cocktail menu. We have a small but mighty food menu that has some of the best panni’s you’ll ever taste!

Do you like to play games?? We have darts, a pooltable, shuffleboard and even a giant Jenga set to keep you entertained and on Saturday evenings we feature either a DJ playing all your favorite songs or one of our favorite live bands that will have you dancing the night away!! And NOW…. King Trivia is here every Monday at 8pm so come on by and check us out!!

Cinco de Mayo carried over to Seis de Mayo and we had a great bunch of trivia nuts duking it out. Seal Team Sixty Nine successfully doubled twice, while I Wish This Microphone Was a Big... was unsuccessful as many times. Case of the Mondays would have come in first if they were successful in the final round, which was their 2nd double.

A few newbies played, which is always fun when they bring you their entire answer booklet every round.

Congrats to #1 Morales for winning the drinking round!

Funday Monday is the best! Seal Team Sixty Nine doubled in the first round to dominate, but Brain Babes successfully doubled in the second round, which was worth more points!
Then some tough questions and sketchy pronunciations by the Quizmaster (moi?) created a great opportunity for the other teams to catch up -- it was anyone's game!

Shout out to Clueless for winning the drinking round!

With Easter done and Pass-over, it was time to concentrate on trivia...

The Princess & The Frog were newcomers to Eighth & Rail, and changed their team name every round. Just to keep me on my toes, I think.

With Master Bader Ginzburg and Flying Deuces jockeying throughout the night for 1st place, both teams strategically doubled to their advantage - the Notorious MBG pulling it out at the end!!

A nail-biting tie breaker gave KTC the 3rd place prize. Shout out to Flying Deuces for winning the Scrabble based drinking round!
