About Eighth & Rail

Eighth & Rail's liquor license was the first recorded as Derrick's Saloon back in 1878, making the bar 138 years old! A historical site located across from the Metrolink station where back in the day miners traveling north would stop for some tasty libations. Today we offer something for everyone. Come and enjoy a beer from our 14 draft selection, full bar featuring over 25 different bourbons, 20 tequilas and a craft cocktail menu. We have a small but mighty food menu that has some of the best panni’s you’ll ever taste!

Do you like to play games?? We have darts, a pooltable, shuffleboard and even a giant Jenga set to keep you entertained and on Saturday evenings we feature either a DJ playing all your favorite songs or one of our favorite live bands that will have you dancing the night away!! And NOW…. King Trivia is here every Monday at 8pm so come on by and check us out!!

The new year at Eighth & Rail started off bigly! First 3 rounds had no clear leader. Round 4 was a turning point - 3 teams got the "Guess Who" with the first clue. Then Round 5 turnt it up with successful doubles for the 2 trailing teams! We had the entire house sing Happy Birthday to newly legal 21 Erin, and everyone had bday cake (omigosh it was sooooo good!). No one was certain who would come out on top - a nail biter til the end! You'll notice a bird being flipped in our photo for 2nd place -- apparently someone should have doubled (twice) and that same someone wrote 'seconds' instead of 'minutes' in R5.

Shout out to Nintendo 69 for winning the drinking round!

Our last trivia game of the year at Eighth and Rail - dare I say, of the decade?? It was tough to catch up to Nintendo 69 as they doubled in Round 1 and no other team achieved double digits until Round 3. I will see you all next week - in the year 2020!!

HO HO HO What a great holiday edition of King Trivia! So much fun and silly answers! 2 successful doubles for Shindler's Fist kept them in the lead, and Clueless came up through the ranks to take 2nd place. Flying Deuces of course showed in the top 3! Kudos to Clueless for being the ONLY team to correctly answer R3Q6 - one of the Holiday Movie Haikus... fantastic round!!

Shout out to Cool Team Name for taking the drinking round - even needed a tie breaker for that win!
