QUIZ RECAP
A lot of hard questions made for low scores tonight. But the teams that were willing to risk the double down made their way to the front of the pack. Hail Hydra knew their movies, and made their moves on that knowledge. Jury of Your Beers made the late move, doubling down (unnecessarily) in round 7 to stay in 2nd place. And Kim's Always Right played it conservatively for 3rd place. Across the board, it was a good group and some quality answers when the right answer wasn't known. My personal favorite: Sharkling. Who needs context with that? Trivia on!

Let's start with a recap of our 3 pictures:
1) The happiest 3rd place finisher I've ever seen. This guy loves his Anejo tequila!
2) The bright lights of the stage were back on again tonight, so it wasn't Miller Time.
3) Our drinking round winners also drew a convincing remake of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
That being said, a heck of a night of trivia. A new team surfaced and led the way for the win tonight! They were double-down machines, as they did so successfully in 4 of the 7 rounds. We're SHITE put up a fight, and took home 2nd place, and Hail Hydra! strategically moved up each round to snag 3rd. In other news, 2 football games happened. Hopefully, you didn't see the second one, which didn't much resemble a game. Next week, more trivia!

Tonight there was a clash of titans, or less specifically, mythical creatures. On this Labor Day night, Jury of Your Beers took a 1 point lead into the 2nd round, where Kim's Always Right leapfrogged them to take a 1 point lead back. That lead never grew, but it never shrank, and Kim's Always Right took home first prize 56-55. Next week, we'll see what a larger crowd will hold in store. Join me this Wednesday at Sanctum Brewing, as I guest host at my favorite Pomona brewery. In today's pictures, you'll find the remnants of the fantastic build-a-burger deal for Monday nights at the Roadhouse. You'll also see the prize for today's winners, some delicious rum. And finally, the winning picture from the drinking round, where teams had to draw a mythical creature attacking a building. Kudos to Jury of Your Beers on the excellent minotaur.
