QUIZ RECAP

Before we begin this week's recap, allow me to call your attention to photo #1 above. This quizmaster is opposed to animal cruelty in any form. And as you can plainly see, that poor doogie is being horribly mistreated by its owner! NOT!

"She likes to sit in my lap," explained the pampered pup's accommodating human.
Uhm...ya think!?

And now, on to the recap: Wowzah! We had us another big, raucous night of trivia fun this week at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale. The side yard patio was once again chock-a-block full of trivia quiz enthusiasts, and the winning team - Jenny Craig Made Me Do It - was not acquainted with King Trivia when they arrived for dinner.

"We didn't know what was happening when we saw you setting up your equipment," Jenny explained after the quiz. "We thought you were a comedian, or a karaoke host. We've never done a trivia quiz before. But we loved it!"

Well, King Trivia is certainly easy to love. But especially so when you win big at Golden Road! See ya all next week.

QUIZ RECAP

Wowzah! What a big, raucous night we had this week at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale. Not only was the side yard patio chock-a-block full of trivia quiz enthusiasts, but an unusually large number of brand new teams were playing for the first time ever!

It was a delight to meet you all. We were impressed by your trivia knowledge and prowess, and look forward to seeing these new team names atop our winners list in the weeks and months to come.

Speaking of our winners list, we applaud Dinosaurs and Sluts for their strong 80-point wining performance last night. They edged out Quitty Quitty Yang Yang to win by a single point! (Special kudos to QQYY for a very clever, of-the-moment team name. Mr. Yang will send you your $1,000 right after he sends me mine!)

Chicken Poodle Soup had the right recipe for success, and rounded out our top three finishers this week.

Landing a bit lower on the scoresheet was Mike Pence None The Richer, who attempted a bold double-or-nothing move in Round 7, which would have put them in first place (for the third week in a row) had it been successful. No guts, no glory, right guys!? (don't worry...Amy will forgive you in time. Or not.)

QUIZ RECAP

Amy had that "oh dear" look on her face. The CEO of Mike Pence None The Richer knew she was gonna have to deal with the peripatetic ball of confidence and exuberance that Matt (with two "t"s) would be after winning the top prize for the second week in a row at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale.

Matt is a bit of a Tasmanian Devil under normal circumstances. But after executing back-to-back wins to begin MPNTR's quest to win the next Tournament of Champions, Matt was in danger of becoming a whirling dervish of joyous celebration. What would Amy do to contain this primal force of nature?

Fortunately, she had help - in the form of Matt's parents, who had flown in from the east coast to visit sunny Southern California and witness their son's intellectual triumph.

"We WON! We WON MOM!" he declared with delight! "I TOLD you we'd win!!"

"Yes, Matt, you won. But did you make your bed this morning?"
