HIDEF TRIVIA RECAP

It's not every night that a Quizmaster will host trivia on his birthday. In fact, it's literally not every night because we all have only one birthday out of the year so how COULD it happen every night? But last night was indeed fun, for so many people came out to celebrate my birthday that it almost didn't matter who won! Except to eveyone who wanted to win. Which was everyone. It was a brain fight to end all brain fights, even though there'll be another one in two weeks. A bunch of corporate designer types were there having their "hey let's get to know one another" get-together which made the turnout quite formidable! Let's talk.

The Scat Men (they're into jazz, nothing else) took the night with a formidable 53 points and not even USULB could catch them with all their glasses and math degrees. You know what people love to do on a Wednesday night? List all the men who have been chief justices of the Supreme Court. Do you like guys named John? Then you would've loved Round 7!

A card game called Point Salad was played after the trivia and the win went to a guy named George who got 79 points for hoarding all the lettuce. Ain't that the way?

The lovers were out in full force on Valentines Day at Hi-Def Brewing…lovers of trivia! Yes! Let’s talk!

When the bartenders play, you know it’s a fun night! Good Beer coming in second place with a strong showing of 9 points. And Kristin + Harvey dominated their competition with 22 points. Harvey is a literal rocket scientist so there was no beating him on astral knowledge and Courtney Love.

QUIZ RECAP

When one of the teams is called "Who Cares?" it can lead to all kinds of confusion. But we love it! "Who cares?" I said all night, but everyone thought: "How rude!" Let's talk.

Tonight's brain fight was toxic and lovely! Like the burning of autumn leaves, like the sliding of hydroplaning semi-trucks, like the demoliton of a century-old building, so too did tonight's quiz command attention and then quickly turn its head away as it pretended not to have said a word. There is only one winner at Hi-Def and that is the venerable first place team, which was Podcast Friends who dominated with a robust 72 points.  Their friends, Podcast Enemies, tried to beat them, but they got fewer points and therefore failed. Look, that's just how trivia and math work.
