| In 2012, three dads, Akida Mashaka, John Speaks affectionately known to everyone simply as "Speaks", and Paddy Aubrey, met at their children’s preschool and had the idea to create a local neighborhood bar/restaurant concept that catered to local communities, with a fashionable yet relaxing ambiance, where you could go with your family, enjoy a refreshing weekend brunch, have parties, host events, meet up for lunch, catch the game, or simply hang out late night over drinks with friends.

The idea is to provide a friendly neighborhood pub with quality food and drinks that caters to everyone in the immediate and surrounding communities, hence the word "Public" in our name. Our motto "By the People, For the People" is indicative of our community pub concept.

We provide friendly service offering local farm-to-table seasonal contemporary American comfort cuisine with light and healthy options, paired with craft and local beers, quality wines, and specialty and classic cocktails. We offer weekend brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner, and late night ambiance. |

Oh what a night, Late July 2019, that was a very good night for these teams!

Call it beginners luck but Gentle Its My Frist Time ran away with the evening, winning both first place AND and drinking round. A successful double down in round 6 secured them their victory.

The musical-themed drinking round had teams listen to songs and tell m what musical they were from. While some teams were stumped by Sondheim, others knew their musicals from Angry inch to Avenue Q

The spirit award goes to Vanilla Gorilla who despite coming in last, was a lively and energetic team the entire night!

This was an absolutely hilarious and wild game of trivia, punctuated by the presence of young children (during It's Always Sunny Trivia... it felt like an episode of the show), a passionate, emotional dance-drinking round, and absolutely gorgeous costumes.

Congrats to "The Gang Desperately Tries to Win at Trivia for winning the spirit prize (I mean props? Come on.) and the Pecan Sandies for securing victory in this, the TRUE Game of Games.

Mostly Guesses corrected doubled down during round two giving them a healthy lead over the other teams.

Only Oh Shit was unable to guess Donny Osmand during the Guess Who round. Several teams got it on the 8 point clue!

For the drinking round, teams were given 10 cover songs and had to guess the original artist. Mostly Guesses guessed the most right so the free drinks were theirs!

During the round 6 handout, both Gazpacho and Mostly Guesses had a perfect round but only Gazpacho doubled down. This put them two points ahead of MG going into the last round.

At the night's end, Gazpacho held their narrow lead and took first.
