QUIZ RECAP

The MissFits finished their pool game to assume their usual spot playing trivia. The Bodi Boys entered the game with their Bodhis, because, what else? And by Round 3, the Zombie Sonics were resurrected, hoping to earn one of those prize gift cards.

In honor of the beautiful weather and the fire within the teams, guests at the bar offered up their best songs to have a bonfire to. To the tunes of Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Dire Straits, and just a few Lenny Kravitz songs, the 3 teams fought for one of the top 3 prizes, all guaranteed to win, but not sure how much.

In the end, the MissFits left with the winning score and highest giftcard. But the Bodi Boys left with extra homework, which was to watch Point Break, the namesake of their team, so next time they could laugh with the host at all her genius Patrick Swayze/Keanu Reeves references.

QUIZ RECAP

Seattle is officially in “Juneuary” mode - which means we’re in our last little cold snap before it gets mega warm and sunny in July!! But that didn’t stop our regulars and a brand new team from heading out to trivia tonight!

We had our regulars Team Missfits joined by our newest regular team, Team Pyramid Scream here tonight. We had a brand new team, Team Nerdtastic as well, who were thrilled to play!

Round 1 resulted in a 3-way tie to start the game, with everyone going into Round 2 with 4 points. The game was back and forth, and Team Pyramid Scream pulled ahead in Round 5 when they found the connection, helping them get 8 points in that round. 

Team Missfits absolutely stole the show though in Round 6! They’re sports aficionados and it was *their* moment. Not only did they get 10/10, but went Double or Nothing to shoot ahead to a 16 point lead. 

The final question was a fun one, and I even made my own list without looking at the answers to see if I could have gotten it! Who knew Criminal Minds was on the list??? People love their crime and medical dramas!

In the end, I was happy to announce Team Missfits took home top prize on my last night hosting trivia. They’ve been here every week since the beginning, and we’ve become good friends in the process. I’ll certainly be back by to check in on everyone and say hello when I have the chance!

QUIZ RECAP

A busy night tonight at Marco Polo Bar and Grill as we watched the Las Vegas Golden Knights win the Stanley Cup Finals! But as soon as the game was over, right as trivia was starting up, all teams were locked and loaded.

All of our teams tonight were returning teams, and tonight Team Scratch and Sniff broke off into two teams to play against each other! The second half of their team went by Team Lick and Taste. Perfect name!

While these two teams were locked in a serious duel, Team MissFits and Team Pyramid scream were putting up a fight too. Round 1 was a good round for everyone! And I was very impressed with everyone’s statue and literary knowledge in Round 2!

As a person with degrees in both Journalism and Music Business, the Hunter S. Thompson round had me thrilled. I love to see that he is still a relevant trivia topic! As wild as he was, he was an impressive figure and started Gonzo journalism!

During the Guess Who round, we had two teams fall prey to jumping the gun too early. Ironically enough, despite being polar opposite teams, they both guessed Spike Lee after the Air Jordans clue! Team Lick and Taste figured it out on the 6 point clue, much to the dismay of their rivals and former compadres.

The Find The Connection round this evening was no joke! We had people racking their brains for the connection. While no one got the connection, we did have someone think all the answers were the names of porn stars…. WELL not quite! I haven’t done enough research to be sure though… hahaha

In the end, the Scratch and Sniff defectors, Team Lick and Taste took home the top prize this evening!! Congrats to them and hopefully they won’t get into it after in the parking lot 😉
