QUIZ RECAP

Well that was fun, wasn’t it? 

After a lovely couple of weeks away gorging on turkey (okay, and slugging boxed wine), it was great to come back to a bar full of ice cold beer and familiar faces at Tuesday night trivia.

Las Guachas played it family-feud style, facing off against some relatives on another team. There’s no nepotism in this house, though – forced to fend for themselves, they came up in last place. 

Natalie’s Favorites know they’ve got to earn that team name – they ultimately finished the game as Natalie’s 3rd Favorites. (Hey, all teams are equal in the eyes of the Quizmaster, okay?) 

Newcomers Haute Toddy made themselves known as a force to be reckoned with right out of the gate, with an immediate double-or-nothing to take the lead after round 1. That proved to be their signature move, as they attempted three more double or nothing rounds before the end of the night. Did it pay off? I’ll let you be the judge, reader…they racked up an impressive 54 points to take 2nd place. 

Who does that leave in 1st, you ask? Perennial 2nd-place finishers Scratch and Sniff pulled ahead in round 5 and kept Haute Toddy at bay, snagging a well-deserved 60-point win. And the crowd goes wild!!
