Sometimes it just feels...right. Birds are chirping, beer is flowing, the Red Sox are beating the Yankees, and you get a record-huge crowd of old faves and new flaves at Tuesday night trivia.

Gather 'round, teams, because Auntie Triv's about to tell you a story.

Long-lost favorites Kids Don't Float and TUI both made triumphant returns to the game, joining fellow familiar faces Scratch and Sniff and Work Sucks...I Know! and new players Vaxxed and Relaxed and That New Squid Game Show for one helluva game.

TUI took an early lead, but fell behind to Kids Don't Float midway through the game. Never underestimate Scratch and Sniff, though -- they came from behind with one of the most strategic moves this game has ever seen, all in order to get their score to a...round...number. Nice.

At the end of the game, Kids Don't Float doubled or nothinged their way to the W, with Scratch and Sniff continuing their second-place streak for yet another week. TUI narrowly missed collecting a prize with their third-place finish, but at 65 points, it was certainly a performance to be proud of.

In lower-scoring news, history was made at the Marco Polo tonight, with what is quite possibly (hopefully?) the first tiebreaker for last place in King Trivia history. After dropouts That New Squid Game Show made like their name and, uh, self-eliminated, Vaxxed and Relaxed and Work Sucks...I Know! found themselves in a tie for the coveted last-place prize.

So what did we do? A tiebreaker, of course. While Work Sucks...I Know! gave a perfectly terrible answer, guessing that Cinderella's Castle at Disneyworld is at maximum 50 feet tall, Vaxxed not Waxxed cruised their way to the bottom by simply responding, "Blue." Way to understand the assignment, team.

While it's a pleasure to be your Quizmaster every week, this one was truly a night for the ages!

Ah, can you smell that? Smells like a few of my favorite things. Apple cider...crisp leaves...a high-scoring game of triv...and all your regular teams.

Y'all Motherfuckers Need Science made a triumphant return, finishing first with a whopping 66 points. Their scientific knowledge served them well through multiple rounds of double or nothing.

Speaking of doubles, twins, twos, seconds, Scratch and Sniff continued their not-quite-winning streak with a high scoring game just 4 points shy of our winners. This team keeps getting sharper every week, so they're one to watch...will they pull it off in October?

Last (place) but not least, former champs and current suckups Natalie's Favorites got a little bit of a downgrade this week. Despite their valiant 45-point effort, and despite all of them being lovely people, winners like winners. Maybe next time, Natalie's (now-second) Favorites

All in all, a wonderful night to be a Quizmaster. Hope to see you next Tuesday!

Always nice to see some fresh faces at Tuesday night triv, and we had two new teams come out to play this week!

Team Hitt Squad finished out their first game with an overall score of 21: good enough for the Blackjack tables, but a little shy of a trivia victory. Regardless, they collected a prize for their last place finish. Here's hoping they'll be back soon for a rematch!

Perrenial second-placers and eternal great sports Scratch and Sniff continued their silver-medal streak this week, with a hard-fought 45 points. Only three points off the lead...can they make it a gold next week?

And last but certainly not least, newbies TUI (Trivia Under the Influence) pulled ahead early and showed off their skills (or was it beginners' luck?) with a 48-point, first place win.

Excellent work to all this week!

Reading this and feeling a little trivia envy? You know what they say-- if you can't beat us, join us. Tuesday night. 8pm. Marco Polo Bar and Grill. See you there!
