About Pappa's Artisanal

We are a great neighborhood pizza and brunch restaurant that's nestled in old town La Verne, California. Serving up sustainably raised, hormone and antibiotic free meats and treats, our goal is to bring communities together through great food and forward thinking education. Outside of the restaurant, we've become known for grilling for all sorts of occasions.  Give us a ring if you're hungry.  We cater. We office party. We festival party. This is a great event venue for Monday fun! Lots of room for paper airplane throwing, excellent food and beverages, helpful staff and a good sound system - flashing disco lights included!

The six teams were very closely matched throughout, including newcomers to the King Trivia world. All the rounds had interesting and challenging questions - maybe bread and politicians is not the most natural of pairings (pork barrels springs to mind) and no one is a fan of Bagel Bites apparently (Heinz take note)...

The Guess Who round doesn't often have a fictional character, but it's interesting when it does - all teams scored 4 points, wisely waiting for the key word "Transylvania". I enjoyed a chance to play the theme to True Blood in the interval while the teams prepared their planes for the beer round...

Wet Hair won said round by a nose, and inspired by their success doubled up on Round 6 to take and keep the lead to the end.

Shout out of the night was to Team Buzzed Buds, one of whose team members had a Game of Cats T-shirt, which came in very useful in the Find the connection Round 5 - GOT characters.

The closest game I've ever seen!! These 5 almighty teams stayed so close in points the first three winners were all in the 40s! Although everyone struggled through a very tough guess who round team Just Here For the Food was able to snatch the win!

Great night at Pappa's! It was a pretty close game all night until Phil's Late was able to secure a successful double or nothing in the 6th round setting them very well in place for that first prize. In the end all 3 teams were able to snatch some prizes! All in all a really fun night!
