QUIZ RECAP

Big turn out for the July send-off. There were many successful doubles throughout the game, and a few failed ones as well, one at a critical juncture.

Tequila Mockingbirds jumped out quick with good double on round 1 and held position through round 4. With a good double on round 3 and a perfect 10 on round 4, The Kid's Table closed the lead and stayed virtually even with TM through round 6.

There's Always Next Week landed the only good double on round 5, which pushed them into the lead through round 6. C U Next Tuesday plodded along toward the back end of the middle of the pack through round 6. As is usually the case, round 7 was where most of the excitement was.

Successful doubles by The Kids and C U, along with the aforementioned falter by Tequila scrambled the pecking order.

TANW had strong steady answers for 6 & 7. When the dust settled they had a firm hold on 2nd place.

C U's good double catapulted them from the middle of the pack, past Tequila, who faltered on 7, finishing in 3rd. The good double for The Kids, pushed them well past TANW, giving them the victory.

Great crowd tonight. Good energy. Congrats to The Kid's Table!!

Great turnout tonight. Pineapple Hill brings 'em in for King Trivia on Tuesday nights. 12 teams.

Tequila Mockingbirds, after faltering in round 3, took control in round 4 and held on to take 1st place.

The Kids Table and There's Always Next Week virtually held hands through the first 5 rounds, until The Kids successfully doubled in round 6, taking control of 2nd place and leaving TANW alone in 3rd.

Nasty Women made it interesting early, actually holding the lead in rounds 3 & 4, but successful doubles by the eventual leaders, in 5 & 6, pushed them past Women.

Congrats to Mockingbirds on their 1 st place finish!

QUIZ RECAP

This was a fairly tight game, with 7 points separating 1st from 4th. Round 4 was particularly brutal, as half of the field guessed wrong, while the best the rest could muster was one 6-pointer. Hashtag Team jumped out to at least a share of the lead for the first 4 rounds, then held on by no more than 6 points the rest of the way. Ultimately the better race was for 2nd place, as So On the Spot, Raise Your Hand if Your Pretty, and The Kid's Table were neck and neck for the entire game, with other teams coming in and out of the picture. Unfortunately, round 6 knocked The Kid's back, while Spot and Pretty raced to a tie for 2nd. On the tie-breaker, their answers to the length of the Great Wall of China were close. . .to each other. . . but no where near correct. However, Pretty was the closer answer, grabbing 2nd place. Hashtag team proved a tenacious defender, and fended off all comers. Plus they were having a great little party in the corner of the bar. A good time for sure. Well done Hashtag!
