Happy National Brain Health Day! Mmmmm braaaains! <nom nom>

Teams got off to a great start here at Shadow Grove Brewing. I Love You, Dr. Zaius kicked off R1 with a successful DON and that put a fire under the other teams. In R2, Hot Diggity Dogs, H&Ms and Fear and Loathing in Dart Vegas all answered the challenge and scored successful DON!!! But wait! Teams weren’t done throwing down the DOUBLE OR NOTHING gauntlet. R3 had 5 - yes, count ‘em, FIVE successful doubles and catapulted H&Ms and Hot Diggity Dogs into the 70 point bracket! (mind blown!)

Every team took a break from the doubles during R4 Guess Who, but H&Ms and Honk if You’re Corny went for it again - and succeeded! - during R5. Only Hot Diggity Dogs attempted the DON in R6, and by the time the dust settled, H&Ms sat at the top of the leader board, Hot Diggity Dogs claimed 2nd with a barely audible 2 point difference, and Honk if You’re Corny were quite happy to take the 3rd place finish.

HAPPY MAD HATTER DAY!!!! Wait - what?!? - not ONE lil ol’ question pertaining to the craziest character sporting a dashing chapeaux, which cost him a mere 10 Schillings and 6 pence??? Tsk tsk. Oh well, happiness not dashed, teams were in a mood for trivia! 

FIVE teams kicked off Round 1 with successful Double or Nothing - squad goals! This may have intimidated some newbies, but it represented multiple dispatched gauntlets being thrown down by our regulars. It wasn’t until the end of the Guess Who round that the leader board displayed some space. 

Broken Tino raced to the top for a few rounds, but then Thank You, Dr. Zaius made a move with a successful DON in the Find the Connection round. Anatomy seemed to challenge some teams, but not team Don’t be Mad, be Vlad, who claimed a successful DON just before the final round!

In the end only one team can claim the top prize of a $25 Shadow Grove Brewing Gift Card and that honor went to team Thank You, Dr. Zaius (who single “brainedly” racked up 76 points!) while team Broken Tino won the 2nd place $15 SGB GC and 3rd place ($10 GC!) went to team Don’t Be Mad…Be Vlad!
