QUIZ RECAP

With the most teams I've seen thus far, last night's trivia battle was stunning victory for our newcomers, my friends, Conor Drove Us Here. No matter how untrue their team name is, their knowledge showed through and beat out long-running winners Fox and the Hound. The questions were simple yet tough and the night itself had a buzz to it as people let loose and enjoyed the company and competition. Returning teams Let's Get Quizzical and Triviasaurus Rex made the new competition feel comfortable and those new contenders Bird Nerds, Worth a Shot, and Calibama adapted quick and did not disappoint.

Another week, another Short Path Distillery trivia night in the books! This week was something special. Five big teams with knowledge to burn and prizes to earn went head to head in 7 rounds of questions ranging from naming celebs posing with Lin-Manuel Miranda to guessing who wrote the Twilight book saga. Our bonus round this week asked the simple question "how many Nicolas Cage DVDs do I have in my collection?" I've talked at length about the Cage but never expressed just how many of his movies I own. Two teams were SO close guessing 68 and 69 respectively, but with correct answer being 67 team Wizard Snakes walked away with a free drink. And probably the biggest twist of the night came in the form of Alternative Facts being in 5th place going into round 6, risking it all and going double or nothing in round 7, and leaving in 2nd place by the time the game was over. Truly crazy stuff!
