QUIZ RECAP

It was an intimate night tonight at Sloane's Valley Village, which made for that lovely family feel vibe the restaurant is so good at. Five teams came to play their hearts out while the Dodgers came to win while it played on the tv in the background. Although a little distracted, the game went off without a hitch, and Murder Hornets took a commanding lead with two successful double or nothings in a row. Our returning teams Bi Polar Bears and Three Musky Tears weren't too far behind and still played an amazing game. Newcomers Bobby's Favorites did a fantastic job even while taking care of their other duties. And fan favorites Valley Gurlzzz not only kept the party going after trivia was over, but brought the cutest little mascots to join.

It was a good night for Murder Hornets nabbing both that first place spot and the drinking round after being the closest to name how many times platinum "Thriller" has gone in the US (p.s. it's 34x!).

QUIZ RECAP

BOO! We kicked off spooky month with a packed house at Sloane's tonight where a record 15 teams came to play some trivia. The night started out slow with some unfortunately unsuccessful double or nothings but picked up as the night went on.

The Valley Village People and Murder Hornets were in a race for that second-to-last place spot all night but it was ultimately Murder Hornets who took the win and walked home with some tasty cup-o-noodles.

As for your top 3, all teams were within ONE point of each other. It was a very tight race all night but even with the lowest round 7 score, Bye Cait had enough of a lead to hold their top spot even with Jeffrey Weinerslav’s round 7 double that shot them to Third. The lovely Bipolar Bears finished in the middle in the second place spot.

For the drinking round each team was asked to name the number of Halloween films in the series and the year the first was released, causing a tie between Big Money Hoes and Baby Einstein, but it was Baby Einstein who answered the tie breaker question the fastest, winning them a spin on the drink wheel for a round of Tecates.

QUIZ RECAP

We had a Sloane’s record of 11 teams this week and your Quizmaster Heather was back for some action as well! Thank you to everyone for coming out and bringing that energy.

Everyone started off the night afraid of Midnight Powerwalk who came in hot, and had Crucial Moose on their tail. A Round 5 double or nothing from Murder Hornets though shot them past everyone though to that number one spot, where they stayed for the rest of the game. Titty Titty Gay Bang (a combo of two of our veteran teams that joined forces) played perfectly consistent all night and it helped them nab that second place spot. The final 3^rd, 4^th and 5th place spots (Midnight Powerwalk, Crucial Moose, and Bipolar Bears/Bren with a tie), were all ONE POINT away from each other which I know from firsthand experience is such a sting.

Brain Thieves, The Painted Ladies, Slut Muffins, Cooterkitties, and Creative Name LLC [my absolute favorite team name of the night] rounded out the bottom, but, for one lucky team (Cooterkitties), Sloane’s offers that illustrious second-to-last place prize and they didn’t walk away empty handed.

For the drinking round, teams were asked to name the artist and title of 4 different songs, and then determine the connection between all 4 as well. Team Cooterkitties was the first to stand up and get every question right, earning them a round of Topo Chico Hard Seltzers!
