It was an electric Tuesday night at Snakes & Lattes this week and spirits were very high! We had 14 teams join us for the game!

Round 1's General Knowledge left everyone in ties left and right! First was a tie of 8 points between She & Him and 12 Left Feet. Second place was a 4-way tie of 7 points between Lil Pickles, Goof Troop, Moose on the Loose, and Dogfish. In third place we had Too Spooky with 6 points. In fourth place was a 5-way tie of 3 points between Ferda, Seasoned Mango Claws, Cut My Rates Into Pieces, Game-o-Saurus Rex, and Hawk Squad. Finally in fifth place was Chaotic Neutral with 2 points.

Round 2 asked the teams to identify the countries represented by the EPCOT showcases. Chaotic Neutral had played their Double or Nothing in this round and unfortunately had missed some answers so they were unable to earn any points in this round.

Round 3 made references to "dawn" or the end of the day in it's questions or answers. As the sun set on this round 4 teams were tied for first place with 18 points! This was between Lil Pickles, Goof Troop, 12 Left Feet, and Moose on the Loose.

I was personally very excited for Round 4 this week with our Guess Who theme. 8 of our 14 teams guess the person correctly after just the second clue! I could see on the faces of many teams that they knew who our mystery man was but just couldn't figure out his name. One team even identified him as his most prominent character from Parks and Recreation, but in the end the correct answer we were looking for was none other than Nick Offerman!

We had 2 teams play their Double or Nothing for Round 5 this week. For Ferda, unfortunately they missed 1 of their answers so were unable to earn points for this round. However, Dogfish was able to get all 10 questions correct allowing their team to earn 20 additional points!

Round 6 asked the teams to match each nickname to the soccer club it belonged to. We had 3 teams play their Double or Nothing for this round! Goof Troop and Lil Pickles got all of their answers correct so they each got 20 extra points for their teams! She & Him also played their Double or Nothing, they did leave 1 of the spaces blank but all of their written answers were correct, so they were able to earn 18 points for their team in this round!

Our final round had 2 questions this week challenging the geographical knowledge of our teams. The first question asked them to name the 7 capitals of the countries in Central America and the second asked them which 3 cities share political power in South Africa. Moose on the Loose, 12 Left Feet, Let's Get Quizzical, and Cut My Rates Into Pieces all played their Double or Nothings for this final round, sadly though each of them missed at least 1 of the answers so none of them were able to wrap up the game with any additional points.

In the end our top 3 teams were Goof Troop (62), Lil Pickles (60), and She & Him (59).

9 teams came to play King Trivia this Mardi Gras and spirits were high!

Round 1, our General Knowledge round had a few teams stumped. By the end of this round Krewe of Pickles and Let's Get Quizzical were in a tie for first place, each with 7 points for their teams!

Round 2 asked the teams to identify the TV characters that were dressed as cupid! Our most commonly misidentified characters were Sarah, from Ed, Edd, n Eddy, and Maury the Hormone Monster from Big Mouth.

Round 3 this week had focused on a "diet" theme for this Fat Tuesday. By this point in the game Krewe of Pickles was in first place with a total of 21 points. Behind them in second with 16 points was Let's Get Quizzical and then in third we had Team Wreckt 'em with 15 points. In fourth place we had a 3-way tie of 14 points between She + Him, Sliverliners, and Where's Rob? In fifth was Boom Dynamite! with 13, then Fat Everyday in sixth with 11 points and seventh was Here for the Beer with 11 points.

Round 4 this week was a Guess What? She + Him were able to correctly guess just after 1 clue and earned 10 extra points for their team! Fat Everyday guessed correctly after our third clue, which gave their team 6 points. Here for the Beer, Sliverliners, Boom Dynamite!, and Krewe of Pickles all correctly guessed after the fourth clue, giving each of their teams 4 points towards their scores. Where's Rob? was able to get the answer after our final clue giving them 2 points. Unfortunately for Let's Get Quizzical and Team Wreckt 'em they were unable to correctly guess the mystery thing and as a result of their wrong answers, each lost a point from their scores. The mystery thing we were looking for was Manchester United!

Round 5 was our Find the Connection round! Let's Get Quizzical played their Double or Nothing in this round, but unfortunately missed 1 of their written answers and were therefore unable to earn any points this round. Only 4 of our teams were able to see that the commonality was that each of the answers included a brand of shampoo or hair products!

For Round 6 this week our teams were asked to match the Mardi Gras Krewe description to its proper name! Unsurprisingly, Krewe of Pickles chose to play their Double or Nothing in this round. They didn't have 1 of the answers written in but had every single written answer correct and were able to earn 18 extra points for their team! Boom Dynamite also played their Double or Nothing in this round, however they misidentified 2 of the Krewes and did not earn any additional points for this round!

Our last round of the evening had 2 different questions. The first one asked the teams to name the 5 country names that begin with the letter "K" that are members of the UN and our second question asked what 5 ingredients are featured in a Reese's Take 5 Bar.

By the end we had a tie in first place of 58 points between Krewe of Pickles and Silverliners! We asked a member from each team to come up and answer our tie-breaker, which asked how many passes did the New Orleans Saints attempt during the 2012 NFL season. Krewe of Pickles wrote down 10 while Sliverliners had an answer of 480. The correct answer was 671, so the Silverliners were our winning team for the evening!

Join us next week at Snakes & Lattes for trivia, board games, and much more!

This Tuesday night we had 7 teams join us at Snakes & Lattes for a night of wholesome trivia! Our teams this week included Let's Get Quizical, Goof Troop, 12 Left Feet, People Wearing Clothes, Dogfish, Yash, and Paws.

We started off with our General Knowledge Round to get things going. Goof Troop and 12 Left Feet kicked things off with a strong tied lead of 8 points each. Behind them was Let's Get Quizical with 5 points, then Dogfish with 4 points, Yash with 3, People Wearing Clothes with 2 points, and Paws with 1 point.

Round 2 seemed to be a challenge for our teams as they had to identify the former teen idols shown in the images. Dogfish did the best this round after getting 6 of the answers correct. They ended up being in a three-way tie for first place after this round with Goof Troop and 12 Left Feet, who all had a total of 10 points.

Round 3's theme focused on either photography or cheese! Our teams did pretty well in this round. By this point Dogfish had stolen first place with 15 points now. Behind them tied in second was Goof Troop and 12 Left Feet each with 13 points. Let's Get Quizical was in third with 10 points. People Wearing Clothes and Yash were tired for fourth with 8 points each and in fifth was Paws with 5 points.

This week's Round 4 was a Guess Who! Paws and Let's Get Quizical unfortunately did not correctly guess our mystery person and as a result both lost a point for their teams. Goof Troop was able to correctly guess after our second clue, giving their team an additional 8 points! Yash, 12 Left Feet, People Wearing Clothes, and Dogfish all guessed correctly after our fourth clue so each of their teams were able to earn 4 points. The mystery man this week was lead singer and bassist for the Police, Sting!

Round 5 was our Find the Connection round. We had 3 teams chose to play their Double or Nothing's in this round. Dogfish got every single answer correct so they got a whole 20 extra points for their team! Goof Troop elected not to write in an answer for one of our questions, but got everything else correct and were able to earn 18 points for their team! Let's Get Quizical did not write in answers for two of the questions, but they did get everything else correct so they earned 16 points for their team. The commonality in this week's questions was that each of the answers was a palindrome!

Round 6 challenged the history knowledge of our teams by asking them to match each president to the state that joined the union during their presidency, and challenging it was! 12 Left Feet did the best this round and got 7 of the answers correct. By this point in the game Goof Troop was in first place with a total of 43 points. In second we had Dogfish with 41 points. In third we had 12 Left Feet with 32 points. In fourth was Let's Get quizical with 29 points, fifth went to People Wearing Clothes with 22 points, sixth was Yash with 19 points, and in seventh we had Paws with 8 points.

Our final question for Round 7 asked the teams to name 10 of the 12 Greek alphabet letters that end with the letter "A". Each of our teams got all of the answers correct in this round! Though 3 of the teams played their Double or Nothing in this last round to score some final extra points! 12 Left Feet, Yash, and People Wearing Clothes were all able to earn 20 extra points for their teams!

After adding final points, and the extra 2 points for those who had returned pens, we had a tie for second place of 53 points between Goof Troop and Dogfish! Each team elected a member of their team to come up and answer our tie breaking question! The question asked how many people attended the 2015 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs (as it was the highest attended Derby to date). Dogfish answered 25,000 and Goof Troop answered 55,000. The correct answer was 170,513, so the winner of our tie breaker was Goof Troop!

In the end Paws was in seventh place with 20 points. In sixth we had Yash with 36 points. Fifth went to Let's Get Quizical with 41 points. In fourth was People Wearing Clothes with a total of 42 points. Third was Dogfish with 53 points. Second went to Goof Troop who also had 53 but was the winner of our tie-breaker. And finally, in first place with 54 points, we had 12 Left Feet! Join us again next Tuesday at 7 to see who will win next!
